Pronovia Brides??!! I Need a confirmation letter from them to confirm my order is none existent, to then claim deposit back, not getting a response!Any other pronovia brides had much luck?
On the BGG web page pronovia is not even listed!!0 -
Are there any other Pronovias brides out there that have any news from the rep?
I did not know, there was a Pronovias rep that we can speak to?
I am getting nowhere with Pronovias Barcelona as they do not speak English and put me through to a line that cuts off, so I have had to order another directly through Provias London.
Are you dealing with a Pronovias rep?0 -
ATTENTION PRONOVIAS BRIDES !!!!
At this present moment in time we are helping 36 Pronovias brides. 14 have re-ordered their gowns through us and the remaining are waiting for letters from the liquidators and Pronovias.
Please be aware that some of your gowns may have been ordered and have confirmation numbers, but no dresses will be delivered as Pronovias have not been paid. All Pronovias Bridal Gallery Group orders have been cancelled.
You may need the letter from Pronovias confirming that your order will not be completed by the BGG, to take to your bank/building society as evidence of your claim.
Some of you will find that your order was not even placed. If Pronovias / ourselves don't know your details, you will not receive this letter, as Pronovias only have surnames and Wedding dates. You should have a receipt from the store with details of your order / deposit to allow us to ascertain the status and investigate your position.
If you need any help or advice, contact eternity4bridal@gmail.com or call us on 01925 724040 and we will forward your details to Rosie or Fiona, the Pronovias agents.0 -
@worriedbride
I called pronovias in Barcelona, I gave them my email address and they said within 48 hours i should get confirmation that I won't be receiving my dress, so I can start the claim with my bank.
Fingers crossed!
It's all taking a bit too long though, as all the other designers have confirmed what the situation is with the dresses and what they will be doing.
I seem to be doing all the chasing.0 -

What should she do?? I'm telling her not too. I've told her to ring designer first and not pay them a penny just in case they don't pay the designer the balance and the insolvency people take back her dress.
Please help, they're coming tomorrow!!!
Not really sure what to suggest to be honest, I'd definitely ring the designer to check what they say first and then maybe ring the insolvency company Begbies Traynor and ask them.
Your friends dress might have been delivered just before they closed I'm guessing but I'm not sure technically whose property it is. I'd be a bit worried about where my cash is going to these people.
I'd definitely want to speak to someone first and if she does have it delivered check it is new and not a sample.
Let us know how she gets on!0 -
Hello ladies
I put £200 deposit on my dress on the day of closure and I was really panicking about it. I did pester the life out of the bridal gallery group directors and liquidators. They let me pay the balance to the administrators at begbies traynor by credit card and my dress was delivered yesterday. I'm just transferring the money owed to another credit card which is 0% interest for 2years, so just the same as paying it off monthly at the shop.
Not really sure who they were but the girls who delivered my dress were really nice and seemed to be doing everything they could.
The liquidator lady...I don't know if I can write her name on here?? She was just brilliant and helped me so much. I'm so greatful to her!!0 -
Hi ladies, I've been following this thread from the 1st post.
I purchased my Ellis dress from the Tarleton shop mid September paying a £440 deposit and 2 Dessy bridesmaid dresses paying a £220 deposit.
Thankfully bridal gallery group did order my dress with Ellis, but no deposit paid. The bridesmaid dresses were never ordered. I contacted Ellis as soon as I recd my letter from BGG around the 21st October via email explaining my situation , they confirmed straight away that my dress had been ordered but no deposit paid, they then said I could have the order of the dress passed to another stockist of theirs but I would have to purchase the dress again and try for a visa debit card charge back. I went to my nearest stockist in Bolton where I paid another deposit for the dress. I still havnt ordered my bridesmaid dresses as obviously didn't have the cash to do this again. The bridesmaids dresses are thankfully stocked by the same shop I'm getting my wedding dress from.
I put a charge back into the bank on the 31st August, the moment I heard liquidation had been confirmed. I sent all the emails between myself and Ellis and also the generic emails and letters received from the BGG and the liquidators and wrote a letter saying what complete and utter nonsense the BGG were saying about still fulfilling orders!! I then recd a letter from the liquidators on the 5th November confirming liquidation, which I forwarded to the bank next day delivery.
I have today checked my bank and I have had the £660 paid back in, there is hope , so please get your visa debit card chargebacks in, I didn't think i would get this back. I bank with Natwest.
What a horrible experience this has been. I now have light at the end of the tunnel and can get on with planning my wedding in April next year, I've got to say how amazing Ellis where in helping me and also Bridal Couture Italia in Bolton. :T0 -

Thats great news! At least you can try to forget about it now and enjoy the rest of your wedding planning! I sent my chargeback forms in, with similar evidence to you, to the bank last week so am just waiting to hear from them now. Hopefully it won't be long as I've had to pay the deposit again to another bridal shop and my balance is due when the dress comes in just before Christmas!!!! So really hoping I get my BGG deposit back before then otherwise there goes my Christmas present fund!
Glad to hear your news :j hopefully I'll be back on posting mine soon (fingers crossed)! x0 -
Hi,
i recently purchased my dress through Bridal Gallery and managed to get sorted by contacting a shop in Macclesfield, Maria Modes. I spoke to a really helpful lady there and she has managed to sort everything out.
I have claimed the deposit I paid to BGG through my credit card company.
My dress was already on order and Pronovias have reallocated it to Maria Modes.
Hope this helps.0
