When everyone was saying how nice Neil was i did point out in a previous post that while hes taking your money he will be.It looks like he is taking a different tone now with some people.

Have you had previous dealings with this company?

Sorry i dont agree i think he is going to take as much money while he can and then close down and you can say goodbye to your money. My advise would be try to get a refund while you can because it looks to me that even when you get your hamper the value is nothing like what most people thought they would get.

I don't think that's true as they have a shop and are expanding, I truly think that they just took on too many deals to close to Xmas!

If they were a scam they wouldn't of sent any out.

Like others I have been so disappointed with the latest hampers on the 6+6 for £89. The main reason I decided to go for the deal was the inclusion of the Surprise Christmas Hamper (value £49.99) as I thought these would make lovely gifts for our parents. I know the deal was an extremely good one (worked out at just over £6 a hamper including the free sweet jars) and I wasn't expecting anything like the hampers shown on the website. However, to describe it as a christmas hamper is stretching it a bit and even more so to describe the value as anywhere near £49.99. Mine contained a small christmas pudding for 1, a box of brandy snaps, a small jar of brandy something, 2 packs of 2 biscuits, (yes 2!) some tiny jars of jam and that was it.

The retro sweet hampers were even more disappointing. Like others have described - a few loose sweets, a small bag of rainbow drops and a dib dab.I wouldn't mind that the value is nowhere near the advertised one if it at least looked a decent gift to give somebody but I would be embarrassed to do that without buying extra stuff to put in which then defeats the object of the deal.

I did email and get a response quickly, followed by a phone call but I didn't protest as much as I should have when I was told that I was the first person to complain out of all the hundreds of hampers that had gone out about the Christmas ones. I did actually query if the sweet hampers were actually the free gifts instead of the Retro Hampers but I was told the illustration was there only as an image not to represent what I would receive and there was a disclaimer to say that with the deal. I wish I had been firmer but I somehow ended up accepting another hamper as compensation which would be filled with other bits I hadn't received in my first christmas ones. I'm hoping I may be able to swap items and improve the others when it finally arrives. I was told the Sweetie Jars had still not arrived but were expected today so I'll see if everything turns up before Friday.

I was happy to give a new, growing company a chance but after waiting a couple of times for hampers to arrive on time and the substandard ones received recently I've lost patience and won't be using them again. I appreciate they are keen to get all the business they can but it is frustrating when you see deal after deal being advertised and they have ended up with too much to cope with. Some people who ordered later deals have had better service and quality, whilst those who ordered one of the original deals (presumably to get the company more publicity) seem to have been put down the pecking order. It's a shame really.

Sorry for the mammoth post. Hope everyone gets what they are expecting in time to use as presents!

I too received xmas and retro hampers but not impressed . . particularly after looking forward with anticipation over the months. More local customers appear to be very pleased where these have been delivered direct by the company . . I am pleased for them.

Thank you for sharing that you complained and will receive an extra hamper to make up for this . . . we should all do the same at least.

After speaking to Neil, i received my order today 3+3 deal.
Was really pleased with the quality of stuff & my actual hampers which can be reused!.
I just think they took on more orders than they could cope with and i for one would def order again.
    Thanks Neil :)

My only gripe is the cellophane was torn on the 2 cheese hampers, but will blame the kids when wrapping :p

I just spoke to a lady who answered the phone. She sounded very nice, and wasnt rude at all.

I have ordered the 3+3 goodies hamper, she said that they were all leaving today.

Think about it, they sent some out because then they knew people would come on here and say oh what a lovely hamper they had etc and in turn more people would place orders.

then why would they have a shop, that you could walk into and confront them?

Last time I needed cellophane (to split a bargain Thorntons sweetie hamper into 3 for my brothers) I got it from a florist stall in my local market. She cut off however much I needed and gave me a bit of ribbon and iirc it cost me around a pound :D

Rubbish! If he wanted to do a runner with the money he would have done so and not be sending out hampers - - albeit struggling with timescale! Not many people would go to Ideal Home exhibition and open shops if a scam

You haven't even ordered anything so why do you keep popping up in this thread if not just to stir?

No one is forcing anyone to place any orders!.
Just a note to the wise, Neil is in talks with his lawyers about people posting here who "are trying to take his company down". TBH i don't blame him, if you have a problem do what i did & SPEAK to the company involved as opposed trying to guess what might happen.

OMG  I thought this would be a thread about buying hampers a la Farepak which Mr MSE was warning against this morning on BBC Radio Five Live. (stupid name btw).

But no, it's all about confectionery. Other than suggesting a wholesaler may be cheaper I'm getting out of here cos I have diabetes already and it's too sweet for me. :D
