The date of arrival is the important date here.
Even if mine is posted tomorrow (and other people have had their's last week) I won't get the delivery till Thursday or Friday.

That is a week later than advertised.

Ok so I guess they said different things on different offers I dont know. All I was trying to point out is that on the offer I bought, they never said they'd arrive in the first week of dec, they said they'd be shipped then. Mine arrived this morning actually, can't see it being same day delivery so must have been collected by the carrier yesterday despite Neil's email to me saying they will be collected from them today. I'm very pleased with the contents although unfortunately the cellophane wrap on both cheese hampers is ripped. Luckily I have a big roll of it as I often make up hampers myself, but I if I didn't have it I might have been a little stuck!

Has anyone who ordered the 12 + 12 received anything yet? My first instalments are going to be given as gifts to the 2 recipients, with a card saying that they will also receive one a month for the next year. Just wondering if the first one looks ok as a gift? TIA

I haven't received my first two hampers from this deal yet. Getting a bit impatient now so if the don't arrive tomorrow then will start chasing them up.

just as i suspected theve bitten off more then they can chew:(

still id like mine and Mrs.Cakes Hampers By friday pls
  • I tweeted them ( :rotfl:at least I think I did lol - I joined twitter especially to do it so I hope it worked!) to check if they were sending them out by deal or date ordered!

I also emailed (and apologised for taking them away from their hamper packing and order filling - cos I know they are flat out trying really hard to get everyones orders out to them) - as I know my hamper orders are going to take a good bit longer to arrive than most peoples (because of where I live). I got a quick (non automated) reply advising me that my orders are scheduled for dispatch on monday (which I can understand as I have LOADS of stuff ordered and I was prepared for mine to be later than the first week in Dec (as I know if there is a big influx of orders - they are also at the mercy of their suppliers and have to wait for top-ups to arrive).

I can understand why people are worried or disappointed but I can also understand that the company probably were not prepared for the volume of orders generated by being on MSE:) . I am hoping my order comes in time for xmas but if it does not - I can easily give the people they were intended for a card detailing what they can expect when they do arrive.
Living where I do i'm quite used to stuff arriving long after it was expected as the weather plays havoc with deliveries!

I'm also wondering if the disparity between peoples retro sweet hampers has anything to do with stock levels (i'm not excusing it in any way - just trying to understand why peoples experiences differ so much) :o.
:rotfl:If it weren't for stress I'd have no energy at all. First rule of acting: Whatever happens, look as if it were intended.;)
Don't follow in my footsteps, I walk into walls:smileyhea When in doubt .............mumble.
I may look busy, but I'm just confused.:T I smile because i have no idea what's going on.:rotfl:
  • Aw gawd at next tweet

@TheNHCompany: Please can people not blame me once the parcels have left us im not in control of them.im now trying to be sued its all looking good
  • Ummm- just had an email that my hampers have left today....
No matter how good they are I won't bother ordering again- shopping online and in good time for Christmasis supposed to take the stress out of Christmas shopping- just wish I'd have gone to my local farm shop and ordered them there- would have been more expensive but at least I wouldn't be sat at home twiddling my thumbs when I should be enjoying the last days of my maternity leave...

Just pleased I didn't opt for a fruit hamper in my choice, by the time it arrived it would probably be walking on its own ;)
  • This might be a stupid question but what does RT mean?
