I have received an automated reply straight away saying the usual that hampers will be despatched by 14/12/12.

Also has a bit saying that pictures are for illustration purposes & contents may vary as per their terms & conditions.(i.e. the sweet hampers)
Looks like they are getting lots of queries about this if they need to put it in their standard email.

on my emails sent last week etc they say recieved by the 14th

My confirmation email says christmas goodies. It's the 3+3 deal for £55, with 2 galaxy, 2 christmas and 2 'just add cheese'

Think this is the one I'm waiting for... 6 hampers including 2x honey, 2x sweets and 2 more I think were jams at the time I ordered. It seems that the contents changed from day to day when the offer was on.
I'm sat waiting for them to arrive- had an email saying would arrive Weds or Thurs at latest but if the twitter comment is true then I'm wasting my time.
Really need mine by Fri as I'm off to visit relatives on Sat who are receiving the hampers as gifts.
I ordered back on October!!
not happy.... currently debating whether to just cancel and get money back and go out to buy alternative gifts otherwise I could be shopping on Sat morning with two small children before I set off on my 60 mile trip:mad:

Did anyone have a change from 'processing' on the website page before they received their hampers?

I've received one of my 4 deals and my status has not changed from processing on the website and I didn't receive any notice of the delivery from the courier

Retro Sweet Hamper

The Cadbury hamper and jam tray are as expected, and I was prepared for the retro sweet hamper to be not what I originally expected, due to previous posts on here.

I got my free chocolate spoon and membership number for the hamper club.

The Ltd edition hamper contained a fruit cake slab, some mulled wine infusions bags and a big jar of red currant jelly.

I'm very disappointed with the Thorntons hamper though - going to do a separate post, as my iPad is a pain, crashing when I do long posts ........ To be continued

So, Thorntons hamper should be:

Presented in a 12" wicker hamper
Thorntons Classic white,dark & milk chocolates
Thorntons caramel melts
Thorntons special toffee
Thorntons Chocolate covered Fudge
Thorntons continental assortment bag

Notice, no sizes are mentioned in the description, which I think is very bad practice!

What I received was:

Caramel melts 200g - £4.29
Special toffee bag 105g - 99p
Continentals bag 87g - £2.99 (though I'd never pay that for 7 chocs!!)
Chunky chocolate jumbles bag 55g - 79p
Chunky choc chip choccies bag 155g - £1.99

So no box of chocolates - which are on offer at the moment at Thorntons, £5, but normally £6.99, for the smallest box they do.

No chocolate covered fudge.

So, I reckon the contents are worth £9.05 at best, so disappointed, as the inclusion of this hamper was what swung this deal for me

I know for certain I will not use the discount code now that we have had such a bother getting what we paid for. I will be so disappointed with hamper Tracyjjo as I am getting what you have. It was Thorntons too that swung it for me. Actually now hoping that mine doesn't arrive today as I am going to lock the garage when I am out tomorrow so I can't take delivery this was where they were to be left as I wasn't in. I made it clear last week I needed it for today. I am going to contact citizen advice and see where I stand as regards them sticking to what they said about when hampers would be dispatched. Anyone got a screen shot of this I can use to argue my case. I appreciate contents may vary that doesn't bother me it is the time frame being different to what they stated .
