Now first of all I am very sorry for anyone who has lost money but I have been watching this thread for weeks. He has been very foolish but this all started with a ' great offer ' not to be missed ! Everyone jumped on the bandwagon with the idea that there was something for nothing. He couldn't resist the cash-flow but all of ou piling in are to blame as well. There is never lots for nothing ..... And there wasn't here either.
I feel a bit sorry for him. He got caught up in all the mse orders and never worked his cash-flow out .
Sorry for people who lost money but this great desire for a bargain is at the root of this.
I must admit to having expected this sort of post much earlier on in this thread.
We all knew the 'he was forced to it by nasty customers' card was due to be played- but I expected it before now. In case you have a plan, the next card we are expecting in play is the 'it has made me ill/depressed' one.
Frankly I am appalled that anyone could possibly find an excuse for someone that can take money, and continuie to take money knowing he couldn't run a business. Even after people started expressing doubts on here, even after the first few weeks of no deliveries and lies he was STILL taking orders.
No, I have no sympathy and I hope that this isn't just allowed to slide into obscurity so he can just start up under another name and fleece other people. If you actually read this thread and see how badly this has affected some people who could ill afford to lose their money- then perhaps you would have the decency to remove or edit your post.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. No I am not a troll. All I want to point out is that there Was a feeding frenzy about the great hamper offers. It is sad has gone so badly wrong but it was a perfectvstorm ! Stacks of people on here thinking they were getting something for nothing and a supplier blinded by orders without gettingnhis costs clear .
Every one to blame a bit I think !
Something for nothing.? No, that is the wrong way round, people got nothing for something. They paid and got no goods, they used no tricks, they did nothing dodgy they merely did as that man wanted them to do, sign up, pay him money and then go away.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hmmmmmm interesting theory........the people who paid for goods and found themselves ripped off by a fraudster are to blame for being ripped off! Funny other companies manage to do 'good offers' that create 'feeding frenzies' and actually supply the goods they promise to! Probably cos they are not con artists!
If you are a solicitor......I'm guessing its for the defence .....in which case.....Neil .....you are screwed!
Out of interest....did you take part in the feeding frenzy or have you been hovering around waiting for the chance to gloat? Priceless! Totally priceless!:rotfl:If it weren't for stress I'd have no energy at all. First rule of acting: Whatever happens, look as if it were intended.;)
Don't follow in my footsteps, I walk into walls:smileyhea When in doubt .............mumble.
I may look busy, but I'm just confused.:T I smile because i have no idea what's going on.:rotfl:0 -
I seem to remember that Neil actively sought to get his deals featured on MSE, so it is not as if he was caught unawares by unanticipated demand!
The 3+3 deal was initially only open to the first orders ( I think it was 40 but sorry I don't remember off the top of my head) but he then changed it so that it was opened up to more and more.0 -

Well my order was slightly different, placed in October, for a time sensitive occasion. I was worried about being out of time for PP on a 'deal' so ordered differently. Promises were made about supply and delivery by NHCO. And guess what?
Nothing was delivered.
After no reply to emails I went to PP to reclaim my money.
No apology, nothing.
Before the 'feeding frenzy' as you call it.
Yet this man and his company ACTIVELY sought to promote innumerable deals on MSE, offered incentives on Twitter for doing so, went to the Ideal Home Show to plug for more deals, but had clearly NO intention or capability of fulfilling. He was trading while insolvent, generating cash up front orders to pay for existing deliveries - yes taking orders he knew he had no way of fulfilling just to grab some more cash.
It wasn't about something for nothing, customers paid good money, and GOT NOTHING. I got nothing, so reclaimed straight away. Others were not so fortunate as they had to wait through all his bluffs and nonsense and lies. Just to be told, 'sorry, not trading anymore'. It's disgusting.
He was NOT a supplier blinded by orders, he was a money grabbing lying conniving incompetent excuse of a man who has ripped innumerable people off. And that is the polite version.
I hope he is well and truly brought to book over this, and can never rip anyone off again.0 -
I have been in direct contact with Neil throughout the day in relation to this. (as you know i didn't order a hamper nor know Neil until this all surfaced).
I wont go into the details but i do think that Neil is being genuine in his actions and i am sure all will be resolved shortly.
What has happened to ppc_guy and his direct communications with Neil(l)? :cool:0 -

Christ Almighty, you're a solicitor? At least I'll know where to go if I ever need someone to bend the truth for me.0 -

And therein lies the problem. His "deals" were supposed to be the first ten, twenty or forty people. How the hell was anyone who ordered supposed to know if they were in the first ten, twenty or forty? And even if you were one of the first, what were you supposed to do when he then carried on taking orders? Cancel? I'm still at a loss to see how anyone could blame the customers who ordered.0 -
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/41774536#Comment_41774536 In post 1079 - you say you are a solicitor - what does the law say about NHCo's actions?
Maybe got the training here??
I really hope the law does get involved as he's 100% corrupt and needs locking up.
