I'll believe it when he gives us the name of his Insolvency Practitioner.

Did she pay by visa debit card? If she did get her to phone the debit card fraud dept and explain the company's only payment option was PayPal but the payment was made through debit card. Lloyds tsb told me it was no problem and my money should be in my account in 7-10 working days.

Thanks v much ohmochraich, she's going to call them.

I am really sorry so many of you have lost money on this.

I just hope he does not start up again under a new name as so many of them do. I think the law should be changed in this respect.

Money refunded to my account today!:j they have done the chargeback against PayPal who had immediately closed my dispute as it was out of the 45 day limit! So despite this PayPal will just have to chase him for their money!

Anyone with LLoyds Tsb who has paid by visa debit phone and ask the debit card dept to do a chargeback -this is the route to go! They were very helpful on the phone and the response has been quick! I hope everyone who still has refunds outstanding gets their money back!

  • So glad you had some success.

This is the advice I gave on the day the email from Neil came out. Chargebacks are not a well known way of getting your money back and often the call centre staff at the banks do not know they exist. My advice is to either speak to a Manager or try calling again and speaking to somebody else. I would fight tooth and nail with my bank if they passed the buck due to Paypal being the middleman. If it was funded via a visa debit/credit card, they should be looking at a chargeback as it is for when breach of contract has happened which is exactly what this is.

Another thing, I was always under the impression that there was a 120 day rule from payment, I know some of you paid for a deal in the summer, I was informed once from a knowlegeable person at my bank it is 120 days from when you knew there was a problem i.e from getting the email regarding NHCo going out of business as that is the only way you would have known breach of contract has taken place if that makes sense.

I read on which that it is 120 days after you became aware that there was a problem. I had to quote the article to Barclays & after 30 minutes talking to various people they offered to send me a debit charge back form. Hopefully it arrives soon & I get some money refunded.

I'm still waiting for my charge back form to arrive despite requesting it on Monday! If it doesn't come in the post tomorrow I'll ring and see what's happening.
  • I am with Barclays paid via PayPal with debitcard and Barclays have sent me the form for chargeback.

I definitely think Neil is a fraudster how could he possibly be insolvent when there are so many of us who are owed money and made PayPal claims and that's just people who post on here. He must have made thousands if not tens of thousands and he certainly didn't have staff costs or anything such as tax would not be due yet.

I really hope he is prosecuted for operating a fraudulent company - maybe PayPal have the resources to pursue him personally.

Really gutted for you all to read of the latest developments and glad that we got our money back from Paypal rather than giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Hope all you still waiting get it sorted out soon and you get your money back.

On another note, anyone want to buy some slightly rubbish hampers we've got lying around?? :rotfl:
