Exactly... And I think this is the strongest evidence of his intent to deceive... He spelled his own name wrong in order to get a new director number ... And if proven he would be personally liable for the debts he has run up instead of hiding behind the limited liability of NHCo.
I MUST LODGE A FORMAL COMPLAINT TOMORROW!! :mad:0 -

Some info here... We can complain to companies house, the insolvency practitioner or the serious fraud office... Or all 3 I guess! I just hope that someone can take these concerns more seriously than trading standards did... I can't help thinking that that they let people down here too.0 -

An excellent idea. The more of us who do so, the better.0 -
Has anyone been able to get there money back from RBS.0

If there is anyone who has not yet logged a case with Citizens Advice then I really would urge you to please do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to complete the form. While the chances of anyone getting their money back is slim (unless you're within 45days on PayPal or you've paid by credit card direct with NHC not through PayPal) at least if we all log our cases then Norfolk Trading Standards will then have a better picture of how big this problem is.
I've copied some text from Norfolk Trading Standards website as it has a link to Citizens Advice:
Information Alert – Update: The Norfolk Hamper Company Limited – 22 January 2013
We previously posted Information alerts on 24 December and 4 January regarding The Norfolk Hamper Company and issues with consumer orders for goods which had not been delivered or had been received with substituted goods, items missing or substitutes of a lesser quality. We have been working with the business to ensure as many hampers were delivered or refunds made, as possible. We know a number of refunds were received.
The company informed us on 21 January that they have ceased trading. Norfolk Trading Standards have updated our Consumer Fact sheet offering further advice. To view the briefing click here.
We are also still asking consumers who have not received orders and have not done so already to log their complaint with the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline on 08454 04 05 06 or via their online reporting form.New LBM May 2014: Mortgage £230,464 [STRIKE]£231,500[/STRIKE]; Loan 1 £0 [STRIKE]£0[/STRIKE]; Barclaycard 1 £0; Barclaycard 2 £0; MBNA £0 [STRIKE]£0[/STRIKE]; Halifax 1 £0;Won: April - Tickets, 7 day pass; May - £100 Burts Bees; ZSL Silent Cinema;

This briefing is from Norfolk Trading Standards :
Norfolk Hamper Company
The Norfolk Hamper Company sold goods such as hampers and flowers via the Internet.
During December 2012 it came to our attention that some consumers had ordered goods which have not been delivered or have received substituted goods with items missing or substitutes of a lesser quality.
We have been working with the business to ensure as many hampers are delivered or refunds made, as possible. We know a number of refunds were received. However we cannot compel a business to provide refunds or prevent it from ceasing to trade.
Today (21 January 2013) we have been informed by The Norfolk Hamper Company Limited that they have ceased trading. No further refunds or hampers will be sent out from today. We understand the company has sent an email to customers informing them of this and has posted a notification on their website.
I never had the email from NHCo.0 -
Halifax bank should read this! Think I'll send them a copy.
Its from Norfolk Trading Standards again.
Payments via PayPal accounts
Where customers have paid The Norfolk Hamper Company via their PayPal account, but where the funds came partially or wholly from their bank account and not their PayPal account.
• PayPal have a 45 day limit for claims which starts on the day payment is made.
• If you are within the 45 day limit it is advisable in the first instance to claim a refund through PayPal. Some banks require you to go through the PayPal process first.
• If you are outside of the 45 day claim limit, some banks will deal with claims up to 120 days. However this may depend on whether the whole claim can be resolved within the 120 days.
• If you are claiming between 45 and 120 days, when you contact the bank you should make clear that you are outside PayPal’s claim period, but within the 120 day period.
• If you are outside the 120 day period, you could consider taking legal action but you would have to pay a court fee and there is no guarantee that you will get your money back0 -
My sister has been told by Lloyds TSB that there's nothing they can do!!
