what do you mean by get anything back from Trading Standards? They cannot enforce anything like refunds and are not culpable for the collapse of NHC. You need to do 1 of the 3 options I have mentioned already.

No but trading standards did tell us we would ALL receive our hampers before christmas (via the business) and some of us definitely did not. They then told us we would all get refunds and many have not. They then told us that if we still wanted the hamper deals that would also be OK so they reassured us (that's if you believed them) that the company were striving to sort out a small christmas blip and now no one will get another hamper. All of this would have led some people on here and elsewhere to stick to the hamper deal and give them the benefit of the doubt rather than claim a refund from paypal when they still had time. Plus what about all the new orders and customers since December?

I do not think that is fair and trading standards should hold their hands up as they are supposed to be here to help consumers and their help may in some cases have been a hindrance.

I am one of the lucky ones (I did not feel like that when I was humiliated at christmas by lack of hampers) as the moment I thought there was a problem I filed a paypal claim and got a full refund from them. :o

But also bear in mind that might be a genuine new little business that are just sorting out their website and not fair to avoid them or tar them with this brush. Fingers crossed it might be a decent new little business so I can finally find a decent hamper company to use for long distance presents.:o

thats why i said if any one knows of them to warn them So they dont get tarred but they dont have any contact details only when u press for it it goes to email

Yes but was informed that it was outside of the 45 days (both orders placed on 8th October) so I'm dealing direct with my bank. Unsure yet what my sister will do, she's aware of the situation and is giving me a call later.

I hope both of your banks can help. My payment was directly from paypal so if I had not got a refund when I did I would now not be able to get anything as I would not have a bank option to intervene and help. Does mean from now on I will be cautious of using a paypal balance to order anything.

There is nothing registered with Companies house for this trading name, and a new company really can register the business within their first 3 months of trading...so it could well be the same! Gut feeling is that it is...

If you are a soletrader setting up a business you do not register your business/trading name with companies house. And many if not most smaller businesses start off as soletraders.

There doesn't seem to be much on the net to find.
He previously owned the domain: perfect-my-golf.com
He currently own the domains: norfolk-hampers.com & suffolk-hampers.com (has not set up a website for the latter though).

Other than that it is all personal info such as home address/phone number his wifes name, how long he has lived in his current house, some info suggesting he has an interest in watching & playing golf etc... There is nothing obvious to suggest his or his wifes former business experience.

I knew i had seen this somewhere on this thread xx
