The Norfolk hamper company thread

Then it will have been an expensive lesson to learn. But to be honest, previous Christmas' I've had items not turn up with much larger companies or not as described with no apology or just cancelled and I would rather receive the hampers as the money has already gone. He messed up (and knows that) but to receive all the vitriol from this forum must be very distressing. I know that lots of people have been upset and let down but even so, some of the comments are just nasty and I feel sorry for him. This is just my opinion and as stated previously I have no connection with the company. I live and work in the West Midlands. I want to give the company a chance and so am doing so.
You say in one post you are going to cancel your paypal claim and now you say the money has gone? some of the things you say just dont add up.If you are going to wait for your hampers to arrive then that is up to you.But please dont try to promote this company anymore. If your look at some of your previous posts you do have to ask about your motives.0 -

Well of course the money has gone as I paid it to Paypal when i made the order! I could have continued with my claim (as i was in the 35 day time limit) but I have decided to cancel the claim. You're looking for hidden messages that aren't there. I don't quite understand the comment about my motives. You, on the other hand even though you have made no orders, have been negative about this company right from the start. I'm not promoting the company - I thought this thread was open for people to discuss the hampers, thoughts and problems people were having. I'm simply saying, I am going to give them a chance.0 -

If you were in the 45 day (I believe) time limit, you can claim your money back from paypal; you haven't received what you ordered, so if you are not connected with this company then really, why would you not want your money back? Can you honestly not see that what you say doesn't add up?
Unless of course you are connected with this company - seriously the director was saying his customers were unreasonable because there are starving kids in Africa; even I can see - with absolutely no vested interest in it - that the guy is a disaster area at best (which it would seem) or - before refunds were issued - a conman at worst.0 -
But I have received what I ordered - I did the 12+12 deal and received 2 hampers. They were received after Christmas but that didn't bother me too much. I am not connected to the company in any shape or form - I'm a teacher in the West Midlands. I just got fed up with people continuing to berate the company so I just thought I'd post a different view. As my view doesn't seem to be the same as everyone else's then I get accused of being linked to the company. I just feel like giving him a second chance - surely that's my choice? I'm not telling anyone else what to do, just putting my viewpoint across. I like hampers and I want to receive the other 22 I have ordered - if I get a refund then I won't get them!0

I have requested my refund for the second time, fingers crossed it arrives soon, goodness knows we could do with the money.
Am very relieved to see others receiving refunds, he is doing the right thing (at last and after a good push, but still) I am saddened to see there are no little personal apologies, however I suppose if it means he gets through the refunds quicker...NSDs 7/20

Totally agree. One would think it wouldn't take more than a day to write out cheques. Followed by another day to email. In an 8 hour working day I could easily type 100 emails. Copying and pasting and just changing the name on the email and the amount means it would be even quicker24 beers in a case - 24 hours in a day. Coincidence? :beer:0 -
Get over it...
Christmas has come and gone.
Surely you agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinions so stop belittling and bullying those who disagree.
If people still want their hampers, let them still have their hampers.
End of the day, everyone makes mistakes, there are much worse things in the world to get stressed out about than late hampers.
I'm not gunna bother replying to the abuse I'm no doubt gunna receive, I've said my bit, now I'm gunna go n enjoy my year
Oh and lastly, before you give the same old "you must be connected because a late hamper hasn't ruined your Christmas", I have been reading this post for the past few days and just wanted to say something because I believe that how some people have spoken to others on here is disgusting.

So you didn't receive what you ordered, you just didn't mind that you didn't - and hope you receive the rest - but still put in a paypal claim. The fact that some people didn't get what they ordered at all or when they ordered them clearly did matter to some people. Also it seems to me that the continued lying and the lack of apology and trying to blame his customers really got up some folks' noses.
You're clearly a very forgiving person, but I'm sure you must be able to see why some people are suspicious, though more so of new joiners who defend the company I dare say.0 -
