My PayPal claim is due to finish over the next couple of days. Stupidly, some might say, I don't know what to do as I actually want the hampers! I don't care if they're late each month or really what's in them as it'll still be worth more than I paid for them. What I don't want to happen though, is for the company to go under and take my money when I could have got it back to start with.

I also feel for him as he's a small business and I honestly think he just took on too much to cope with - maybe not a good idea but how many times have I had an M+S order cancelled as they don't have the item in stock any more. Okay, he handled the fall out exceptionally badly and he should have stayed in control and polite.
So back to my dilemma - get the money back or risk it! OH says the money's spent so chance it but ... I'm so indecisive!

As an aside I am not connected to this company in any way, shape or form.

Have you emailed asking for the hampers prior to raising the claim? Personally I would have done and if no reply up to the point your PayPal is due, just get money back and forget about it.
24 beers in a case - 24 hours in a day. Coincidence?

im the same as u rooms512

have you ahd any of your hampers though

the way i see it i spend £110 and ive had 4 hampers out of 24
i see that as long as i get jan and feb then they have paid for themselves and any more is a bonus then

we all know that it was a very good offer and why people are moaning about some of the hampers is beyond me when you only paid less than £5 each
the hamper alone is more than that

I've had 2 hampers. I emailed him saying that I was happy to drop the paypal claim if he could give me some assurance that he wasn't going to go under (don't know how he could prove that - but maybe an email saying he wasn't going to fold yet!) but haven't heard anything.

Didn't you get your January ones with your December ones or am I mixing you up with someone else?

I can't see how anyone could be happy only getting a handful of what they are owed. I mean if you went to a supermarket and spent £110, you wouldn't be happy only taking £60 of goods home with you would you?

i actually said to send 2 dec 2 jan although 4 in dec was very appreciated

he said just to ring each month with what hampers you want and he will send

if u think about it each hamper is £30 even though hampers never give u value for money but just getting 4 is worth the offer let alone 24

£30 Really? Well one I got as a hamper had a pack of biscuits, minature pot of jam, a minature jar of honey and a cake mix. In a bag.

The bag must have been worth £23.99 then.

I think the issue people have is that they were promised a certain thing, at a certain time, and didn't get them.

If you bought a car say, which was supposed to be top spec and delivered in time for you to go on a ferry for a drive across Europe, you are saying that you would be happy getting a lesser spec car (even if it was a bit cheaper than its advertised price) a couple of days after the ferry had set off?
I really really doubt you would. If you contract to buy something, then you expect what has been promised, and that is that.

NB I have no interest either way in this company, I only looked at the thread because I've spent a few holidays in Norfolk and I was curious.

It is comments such as this that have many of us believing that you are in some way comected to NHC... how would this work with any other deal... ASDA offer 5kg bag of carrots for £2.00 you get home to find the bag only weighs 2KG how pleased would you be then. You suggestion that we should be happy with what we have is absurd... anything less than was advertised or personally agreed with the company is not ok.
