  • ohmochraich , please can I have your cat, with or without a hamper?

  • I received my hampers early November, as I needed some several weeks before Christmas. i suggested that it might be easier to send them out before he went to the Ideal Home Show. My retro sweets hampers were in proper wicker hampers, small, but full of sweets. I posted a list on the first page or so of this thread. It was an awful lot more than you received.

BTW, I love the pictures of your cat, she's gorgeous!

personally i think the ones who are trying to stick up for neil are making it worse for him , people are angry with how he as treated them and to have others making him out to be saint neil of hampers just gets them annoyed, and it wont be resolved until he holds his hands up and says yeh ok i messed up im only human, im sure me along with others would understand things sometimes go wrong but not when he hides behide his twitter slagging customers of and not answering emails he his just digging himself deeper and sending his side kicks on ere to upset people who are already upset , to alot of us these hampers would have been a great help at christmas and yes mine was for gifts i couldnt replace as didnt have the funds and yes my family would have been grateful and wouldnt have turned there noses up as usa guy thinks not everything is about how big your wallet is, as these hampers seem very nice and classy its not as if i was going to give them a tray of egg with a tin of beans. well rant over .. now i feel better.

I'm not a side kick, but I just feel upset how some people have behaved on here. Even if Neil came on here and held his hands up and said he's messed up and he's only human....people would still not accept it.

As far as I can see he is responding to emails, but he must have quite a few to work through.
Anyway a bit of TV and chocs for me now I think.

I feel for all of you that haven't received your hampers or refunds yet. It must be stressful and obviously those who had to buy extra gifts expensive for you too.
I ordered the buy 6 and get 6 free I have had problems as well with them but he has sorted most for me quickly which I am sure most of you don't want to hear.

Firstly when I got picnic hampers to start with one was broken and not the chiller one as described. I rang him and was told to keep the slightly broken one and he would send me the chiller one when he had them in stock. He did honour this. I am still waiting for the missing vinegar for the next hamper. I did receive the retro sweet hampers and the Christmas one by the 10th December, I wasn't to impressed with the Christmas one but not as bad as some had received. Also the sweets were way short missing most of the weighed sweets. I did ring him and he was very nice and would send me some out. I asked him about the sweet jars that he said were out of stock I said what did he have in stock that he could replace it with and he sent me a chilli and a cheese one which he was good to his word and arrived with the missing sweets 2 days later.

I am only telling you this as I think he is a genuine guy but has completely messed up by trying to dig himself out of a hole and not telling you the truth along the way as I think he still believed he could manage all the orders.

I do hope that you all get your refunds or hampers whichever you have chosen to have.

I may look busy, but I'm just confused.:T I smile because i have no idea what's going on.:rotfl:
  • I had the retro sweets and Galaxy hamper. I've seen some of the other Galaxy hampers that have been received, and mine wasn't so different, but I certainly didn't get any weighed/bagged sweets in the retro one. If I remember rightly, it said on the site that the retro hamper they were going to send was 'similar' to the one they already advertised, which is one of the reasons I didn't complain at the time - I had assumed that it was open to interpretation. Mine looked as paltry as the photo a page or so back, though without any flying saucers. *sigh*

    You should all hear yourselves.

You should be ashamed. Baying for blood over something as petty as a food hamper! A food hamper! If I was your family member receiving this "gift" I would refuse it because, who gives a food hamper as a gift.
How totally true and honest of you to bring this up.

Who in their right mind would even consider buying a food hamper from this tool, I mean they are just tack disguised as hampers aren't they?

It kind of makes me wonder just what kind of trollop, would even consider running a business that sold such cheap and tacky baskets and reducing their tackiness even further, by calling them "food hampers".

I am guessing your his advertising rep, as you seem so good at promoting the !!!! he fobs off onto the general public.

Not with people's hard earned money though.

I think you have to be in the same situation as others i.e. not receiving hampers, no updates with regards to progress, fear of company insolvency thus no refund etc to fully appreciate the anger and worries some people in this forum have.

and no i am not having a go at you. But i do believe it is not ethical to withheld people's money (for those that did not receive hampers thus request for refund), especially during christmas period. I cant understand how can he sit down , be merry with his family, while ~60 customers go short.

Also for people that supposedly worked for Neil/his family/his friends/Neil himself, instead of coming here attacking dissatisfied customers that bought from him, why dun you lots help Neil to process the many refunds/ send out individual apologising emails , because quite honestly....

HE NEED HELPS and lots of them
  • well I still have no hamper and no refund and no reply to any of my emails.

I have read every comment on this thread and all the news articles too, personally I think that the company have let everyone down, and should do the right thing and gice people their money back and respond to emails.

Those of you that are defending the actions I don't really understand, I ordered in August 2012 in good faith that I would recieve my order the first week in December 2012. Sadly this did not happy, let down disappointed and very fustrated to not get any kind of communication. Its not necessarily the fact the order is late (although it beggars belief that a company really doesn't have a handle on it's orders and what needs to be sent when) its the fact that I was lied to on the first few occassions that I manged to get through on the telephone and then the no contact, no one anwsering the phone or emails. Not knowing what was happening.

Seems ironic that the company who were so desperate to get their offers on this site are now slating this site.

ps. fo the lady who had problems with new look - did they answer your call, did you get to speak to customers services? Did they reply to your emails? The answer I am almost 100% will be yes, I am pretty sure you will even get compensation for their mess up (I always have). Thats what decent companies do lets face it if New Look behaved like The NHCo they probably wouldn't be as big as they are, so comparing the 2 is not fair really.
I need to start saving so I plan to save £2 a week to start with:beer:
