The Norfolk hamper company thread

A Phoenix of Tangerine - good luck, at least you can prove you've attempted resolution and he has done virtually nothing and his company email address is sending "out of office" replies.
By issuing a LBA it gives him the option to resolve issues or face a small claim and possible CCJ as well as extra charges. If he goes past 14 days, then he is causing himself considerable damage!!
He may well have major cash-flow problems as well as being a complete fool.
I urge you all (who want refunds) to send a LBA immediately - please don't delay.

Well after being totally ignored on twitter and email yesterday..by Ukmail .....today ( after much pestering) I am informed by them that I 'may' get the delivery that was posted on the 21st today.......or I may get it on Monday. I take back what I said about them teaching the nhco about customer service!:mad::mad: NOT impressed........but if you are reading this Neil .......you should demand a refund of delivery costs!. Really losing patience now!:rotfl:If it weren't for stress I'd have no energy at all. First rule of acting: Whatever happens, look as if it were intended.;)
Don't follow in my footsteps, I walk into walls:smileyhea When in doubt .............mumble.
I may look busy, but I'm just confused.:T I smile because i have no idea what's going on.:rotfl:0 -

If you paid less than 120 days ago you should be covered.0 -
True to his word, I have had a full refund today.
Yesterday I sent another email, this time I had a reply. I forwarded to him my previous emails, in which I'd used some harsh words. He seemed very genuinely upset by this.
He promised me a refund today, I was out of the 45 day paypal window so I said I'd give him my bank details. He responded by saying he would pay into my account this morning. And, as I've said he has done just that.
Having spoken to him, I do think that he started off trying to grow his business too quickly and has got himself into a right old pickle. I don't think he started out wanting to let anyone down or to defraud people. I also think he is trying to sort it out but there has been a bit of head in the sand going on. I also think he does genuinely want to get you all refunded or to get your orders, if he had a magic wand he'd do it all now, I do hope given a little time he will refund each and every one of you or get you the orders if you still want them.
Honestly, if I lived closer I would drive up there and start going through the outstanding orders and email everyone with a plan. Sadly I don't. I hope he will start to do that for you all though, I think he does want to.
So, Neil, if you are reading, please do get in touch with your customers. Say sorry and give them a realistic promise of how you will resolve the problems. Most people are very reasonable when they are communicated with. I'm sorry for calling you a conman, I don't believe that is the case anymore.
I really do hope this whole situation gets better from now on. I have a feeling it might:A

I sent an email at 0004 on 21st December giving him until 1000 that day to confirm that he had either sent my hampers or processed my refund. I waited until after 1000, then checked with UK Mail that there was nothing out for delivery, and then sent the LBA email. I followed that up with a recorded delivery letter which was basically the same LBA. This has been recieved, and was signed for by someone named "Carter." Here's the signature.0 -

He's just replied apologising and saying he is posting a cheque out to me. I'd emailed him and queried how he was going to repay by Paypal if his account has been closed down.0 -

Great to hear about the refunds and fingers crossed his cheques arrive more reliably than his hampers......;)
Fingers crossed everyone gets the resolution that suits them best.0 -

That's terrible. Doesn't even look like a signature. Plus Carter? Really?24 beers in a case - 24 hours in a day. Coincidence? :beer:0
