    I'm having a bit of buyers remorse...

I got so caught up in the excitement of this being such a good deal that I didn't properly consider whether I needed this - and I don't. I'm going to see if my boss will buy a couple off me for a tenner each to raffle for school funds!

Still.....that's mothers day, mum's birthday and Easter sorted at least!

You could keep one for your own birthday too :D I've bought a set of bath bombs in the amazon black friday thing so that I can keep one of the hampers for myself and give my sister the bath bombs instead :rotfl:

ETA: I am a technophobe but I will ask my husband how to put my photos up tonight, after youngest's in bed.

I think the shop owner's been busy with the ideal homes exhibition though, so he hasn't been in the shop.

I've had 2 deals from this company - both due 1st december but they kindly shipped one of them early so I could give christmas presents to people we won't be seeing in December. I'm looking forward to the second deal but I haven't bought the 12 month deal as I'm skint this month. Fingers crossed for a January sale deal :D

Sorry but the fact that on hes site it states you cant have all your hampers due to high demand and then keeps extending the deadline does not add up
I am sorry to keep going on about it but when someone wants your money they will be nice to you,i for one like a bargain but i dont want anyone to lose money they can not afford. Please look at this deal with caution.

I think what they mean is they can't keep up with having to make and send up to 24 orders all at once. However they can cope with after xmas sending and making 2 per month per customer. I have had two deals already sent to me and am very pleased. They were a business already but stopped for a while due to illness.

This was my review of them, post number 80 in this thread.

Well my order for the sweetie and chocolate hampers has arrived (I asked for it to be sent early) and my children's eyes are on stalks! I'm feeling a bit mean about giving them all away to be honest, and have allowed them to pinch one thing. Eldest has never seen giant parma violets before, and is currently bragging on facebook :D

The sweetie hamper is worth less than the galaxy one in my opinion, because the sweets could be bought quite cheap if you know where to look, but you could add extra sweeties if you wished. One of mine had 399g and the other had 457g. They have slightly different contents but it says that on the website. One has a lipstick lollipop and the other has a whistle one, for example. They have those old tattoo bubble gums which had a little tattoo inside the wrapper! They are packed in tissue paper and the whole thing is very exciting when you open it up so it's an excellent present and still worth the £13.75 each when you split the £50 plus postage into 4.

The little hampers are lovely and are well made - they don't feel cheap. They're 30cm x 17cm x10cm I reckon. My eldest shops in Poundland when he goes to college, and is frugal and moneysaving, but he didn't believe me when I told him what I'd paid. He reckons the galaxy hamper looks really expensive (so hopefully his girlfriend will think so too).

The only thing I might have wished for would be something to say they were bought from the Norfolk Hamper Company - just a sticker to seal the tissue paper would do, although I suppose we'd all ruin it by peeking inside before we gifted it. Maybe a little card for us to write a gift message, which has the company details printed on the other side? While the food hampers make it clear where they have been bought there's nothing to suggest that I didn't make these up myself, which is not a problem but it would be a nice touch.

If I walked past a shop or stall selling these at £15 or even £20 for the galaxy one I'd buy them. This is an excellent deal.

    Photos to follow.

EDIT - this is the hamper, with dimensions http://www.thenorfolkhampercompany.co.uk/12-inch-hamper-faux-leather-1036-p.asp

ETA: The sweeties were wrapped in a lovely sparkly paper but the galaxy ones are in shredded brown paper which doesn't look as nice in my opinion.

  • Jellyhead, cani ask if the photo you have taken is the entire contents of one of the sweet hampers, or is it just a selection of what is in one of them.?

I can't wait for my hampers - have ordered various hampers over past 4 months - all have been received on time in perfect condition and with great customer service. Seems like some people just like to cast doubt on everything. I wish the company continued success and longevity!
