The Norfolk hamper company thread

There is NO excuse for people who paid up in October not having their orders! NHC should have set aside the stock they needed to fulfill those orders before taking on or supplying more! :mad:0

I found the catch in my received hampers when I went to wrap the gift one last night
The Posh Pop all had a BB date of Nov 12. It won't poison us but can't give as a gift.
Just when you think this farce couldn't get worse...... It's absolutely ridiculous! He should have cancelled orders he couldn't fulfill correctly. Instead he's gotten greedy and seems to be sending out anything in a hamper... I will give him until Xmas eve, if itching rec'd by then I will be requesting a refund in the evening & will be ordering replacement stuff online after...
I thought I was being organised by getting all my Xmas shopping done before my little girl was born. Best laid plans eh! Can't get out easily to replace gifts now, s I'll just have to wait it out....
Who thinks hey'll gt a delivery today?0 -
I'm hoping mine come today as I rang UK Mail on Thursday and they had a parcel that would be delivered yesterday, but it didn't come so I'm hoping it comes today. I made my own hampers up so I'm hoping I get what I ordered! I defended the company at first but I feel so sorry for people that needed their hampers earlier. As long as mine arrives today then I'm okay. It's just extra stress which is the last thing people need at Christmas.0

I feel positive that Neil will not let us down and we'll all get beautiful hampers today- with little extras to say 'sorry'... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Good luck late shoppers
Have found you can still have Christmas flowers and plants delivered on Xmas Eve from M&S with no delivery charge if that helps anyone0 -
The law you are thinking of relates to use-by dates which are for food safety not best before dates that just relate to optimal quality however items past the best before date would typically be sold at a reduced price & customers would make their own minds up whether or not to purchase them. You would not expect to find items past the best before date in a gift hamper in fact if you look at the reviews of the M&S hampers you will notice quite a few people complaining because there were items in their hampers which had best before the end of January 2013 dates & they felt that just over a month was an insufficient time to consume the products.
I think it's illegal to sell goods beyond their BB date and even if not surely it means the goods are 'not fit for purpose'! :eek:I found the catch in my received hampers when I went to wrap the gift one last night
