I have raised a dispute with paypal and also my credit card company. I am now worried in case they do actually turn up as I have been out tonight to replace all the gifts that have not arrived. Not sure what the best thing to do would be - if I refuse delivery will this affect my paypal/credit card claim? I have gone for the 12+12 deal and like others on here I am now concerned about what will happen every month when these are supposed to be sent out - would rather get my refund and never deal with thsi company again...

Just taken photos, excuse their naffness, my phone's camera isn't great.

The sweetie hamper is a buckle one and the Christmas hamper has a clip that you twist to keep it closed. The mince pies were tied to the top of the Christmas one with some rafia.

These were part of the buy 6, get a bonus hamper, then for an extra (£10 maybe?) get 2 of the sets. So I got 2 of each of these, as me and mum went halves we had two each, hers were the same as mine.

The Christmas one has brandy butter, apply chutney, onion chutney, cranberry sauce, mince pies, 2 packs of biscuits, a christmas pudding and a wadge of xmas cake.

The sweets one is a big mix, with a couple more sherbets than shown, I think I've eaten something else from it too but can't remember what.
if i recieved anything as nice as that i would be a happy bunny :D

In the review of the sweet hamper? Yes, I left the review on the site because I was happy with the hampers and my children thought they were fab (they're not getting one though, I'm so mean!). I probably should have chosen a different username though.

I've found giant parma violets in Mr Simms so I've bought some for the stockings :)

I really fancy some port chutney though :(

  • I had the same deal as Suzie, but needed my hampers earlier than December, so arranged with Neil to have them delivered before he went to the Ideal Home Show. Mine were all packed quite full and I am very happy with them. Post 3 on this thread lists the contents of the retro sweets hamper.

The Christmas hamper contained, if I remember correctly, a small Christmas pudding, pack of mint thins, pack of lemon/orange jelly slices, brandy butter, another jar of something (might be chutney, I can't remember tbh), a bottle of posh pop, a cylindrical cardboard tube with biscuits in, three mini jams, and two other items (cant remember what, though). The bonus sweets hamper contained four small jars of sweets, the type of jar you see at the garden centre for about £2.50 or so, and think how much you enjoy those sweets but can't justify spending on a small jar.

Everything was well packaged and in proper hampers. There were some substitutes, but not many. For example, in one hamper there should have been two larger jars of jam and I received three medium jars instead. Neil has not done himself any favours by letting people down, by his rudeness, or by his lack of communication. Even though I am delighted with my hampers, the experiences hat other people are having has put me off ordering from him again.

I sympathise with those who have not received their orders and hope that you all manage to gain refunds quickly. I know that isn't much help for those who needed hampers earlier, or who have to buy alternative gifts. I wouldn't like to have to brave the shops tomorrow

Town was bad enough today :( A lot of people finished early and the kids were off school too. I had to go and get my inhalers from Boots and town was a nightmare.

If anyone has a National Trust shop nearby they have a sale on and have some lovely biscuit-type gifts.

I also got a pack of 3 biscuits for £5 which looks like it cost more. This one, but it's out of stock on the website. http://shop.nationaltrust.org.uk/products/national-trust-triple-pack-biscuits/3786/

We went to the shop at Dunster Castle. It's next to the ticket gate but from memory I don't know if you can get into the shop without having a ticket - I think you can though. Iirc the shop at Shugborough Hall stays open too, it might be worth a try at wherever's near you.

Right, I ordered the 12 + 12 hamper deal on 24th November, paying through PayPal - £5 from PayPal balance and balance by Debit Card. I emailed Neil, after hearing how accommodating he as being to people (at that point) and stated that I would be away the first week of December but would be available from 6th December to accept delivery. I also asked if I could receive 4 hampers in December and then 2 a month from February, as I wanted a couple for gifts for early January. He replied saying that it would be no problem .................. little did I realise that I would still be sitting here on 21st Dcmeber waiting for any of the hampers

I emailed them last week expaining that I was going up North to visit family for Christmas so would need my hampers before that date, as they were for gift for people up there. Of course, that was the day that the autoreturn message started coming back

I have just checked my PayPal account to check the date of order, and, as others have said, I have 45 days to raise a complaint through them. If my hampers do not come in the morning before I leave, I will be doing this, to reclaim my money
