  • I think it the lies and trying to deflect blame thats actually more damaging to the company!

Stuff happens and most people are reasonable about it IF they are told the truth, given a HEARTFELT apology and see that the person is trying to fix it!

I think the major issue here is the TOTAL lack of communication to PAYING customers, the poor attitude, the lack of any genuine apology and the fact that it seems to be lie upon lie.

I had high hopes for this company and their products but they don't seem to be covering themselves in glory!

YES its frustrating for US (and for them if they are getting lots of stick) but most adults running a business would understand WHY they were getting that stick and try to do something to rectify it.

Its such a shame - with a bit more planning and a more positive attitude - this company could easily have left all their customers happy - instead of annoyed!
:rotfl:If it weren't for stress I'd have no energy at all. First rule of acting: Whatever happens, look as if it were intended.;)
Don't follow in my footsteps, I walk into walls:smileyhea When in doubt .............mumble.
I may look busy, but I'm just confused.:T I smile because i have no idea what's going on.:rotfl:

LOL!!! Well no ones knocking at my door yet, so you still might have a long wait :rotfl:

Well done you on getting the ball rolling, I paid by Paypal, which is linked to my bank account etc, so not as a Paypal Guest? Dont know if there is any difference??

Which trading standards are you communicating with, and do they have an email etc for us all to write to?? As otherwise we will be totally blocking all their phone lines with the amount of people still outstanding !!

They wont get your money back any quicker though will they? I know that small claims can be done online etc and quite simple to do, so thought that would be easier.

lol prob quicker you collecting it and posting it on than waiting any longer from NHC. I have to be totally honest now and face it that I am NOT going to receive these hampers  and all the lies I was told on the phone Monday were that.....LIES.
No, they wont get the money back any quicker but to go through small claims you have to of been seen to give the seller time to correct, respond, refund within a suitable time ie 7-14 days. So, all my evidence is being used as suitable correspondence for my claim. It can be filed online but you have to do things in the correct order first for small claims to take on the request. Do you want me to PM you the telephone number etc? The best thing they can do is send a email out to people with a refund notification.
  • Well since my email to him to cancel my order and his response "it has been sent" he hasn't been able to provide me with the date sent or tracking number so therefore i am continuing to chase for a full refund.

I have gone through PayPal, do I need to allow the seller 20 days to respond before escalating or can I escalate before this? Also if there are several people opening disputes against a seller do you think PayPal wil be more likely to agree with buyer?

At least something has arrived for you biscuitmad. I'm still waiting.

It's such a shame that we live in a world where those who shout the loudest get served first, yet we try and bring our children up to be polite and patient.
This comment is general and absolutely not aimed at anyone, we all have grounds for complaint and it is a lesson learned for me anyway.
Happy Christmas Norfolk Hamper Company. Best tidings for the future.
  • I wonder if the police watching this forum could do Norfolk Hampers more harm than good given that people are posting their experiences online.

I tweeted my order number and asked if my order would arrive. Its disappeared. I have now had to go and buy Christmas puds, sweets etc because at this late stage, with no answer from Norfolk Hampers as to what is happening, and given their attitude online (calling the police when people have only made honest comments as to their experiences on here, doesn't suggest much integrity on the part of Norfolk Hampers), I assume I will get zilch. £99 down the drain. I paid by paypal two months ago so goodness knows if I'll get a refund.

I feel, to be honest, Martin should help us with this. He's not responsible for Norfolk Hampers and their behaviour but I do feel he has more clout and knowledge than us as to how to deal with this situation. The thread is now nearly 70 pages long. Surely that would merit a single post on his behalf re appropriate consumer advice?
  • Month 6 - Jam lover Hamper filled with 6 of our best selling preserves (value of £29.49)

I was due two of the above instead i have these two, anyone notice any major differences?
