Got back this morning from Almeria with Ryan Air, was actually quite impressed. Had read all the stuff I was supposed to before ticking 'confirm' so was awar eof 15kg limit on bags, and took one bag between us going that weighed 14.6 outward, and only 14 coming back (left some books behind). I had expected to be asked for bag money when I checked in, but wasn't. Lots of people were carrying huge suitcases and Stanstead crew said nothing.
However coming back Almeria ground crew did stick to the 15kg limit, so those of us who read the t and cs watched as other desperately repacked bags to try and get within the limit.
We paid £2 each way for priority boarding and were first on plane so got the emrgency exit seats which meant enough leg room to really stretch out! Odd thing was though that people were moaning about us pre boarding asking why we had special treatment, yet they all had the same confirmation paper that I did that explaining that pre boarding could be booked at the airport.
We took some crisps on board but bought coffee. Flight was on time going out and 10 minutes early coming home.
Flights including all taxes etc were £110 each return. We are going to malaga in June with Monarch and we are paying £180 each, and recently flights with BA to Edinburgh cost me over £120 each, again with no food as I am a coeliac and they do not carry gluten free food on short haul flights. Ryan air do exactly what they said they would do, run a shuttle/bus type economy service between airports. None of their terms and conditions are sprung on passengers, they are all there in the booking details before you book.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. As long as you comply with their rules, chances are you'll be absolutely fine. and feel free to stop flying them if it means more cheaper seats for us

last year, me and my mates flew to Dublin and back for just £17 each including taxes (£0.01 seat). as bunch of students going for few nights out, it was just perfect get-away, cheaper than going anywhere else!0 -
Just came from Pisa . Ryan air flight was on time both ways. They were pretty strict about the baggage- hand 10 kg ( mine was 4 ) and 15 kg check in.I saw a person paying for extra jumbo sized bag. Staff was nice inside . Only untoward thing happened was my checked in bag was badly damaged - but staff at PISA airprt after inspection of the bag quickly replaced that. I was told later that some of the airlines take no responsibilty for that.
Overall it was good saving with Ryan air -£ 160 for 4 .0
