Maybe you have ordered a "bespoke" Dell and personalising the spec takes longer whereas mine is just a run of the mill basic spec?0

I have ordered the P4 2.8 version for £481, I decided not to add anything.
Anyone reckon its worth phoning up to have a whinge see if they will knock anything off? This is the first thing I have bought fom Dell.

Doubt it but its worth the cost of a phone call nothing ventured nothing gained! Good Luck.0 -
my estimated delivery just dropped a day to the 14th of May, happy days!
may well give them a bell tomoz to see if things can be sped up, though very much doubt it. Had to phone dell today to cancel another order I placed, after going though a a rather long winded automated number press thing, I eventually got put through to their indian call centre, took 2 people and 20 mins to perform a simply cancellation, yes 20 mins, then they had to phone me back 4 hrs later to get me to confirm it once again, daft. Sounds stupid but we had a real problem communicating, the lady on the phone had a fair ammount of difficulty understanding what I was saying as did I with her. Though she struggled though and then tried to sign me up to their postal marketing guff, and finally asked me to rate 'Dells performance' on a scale of 1-9. I felt so embarassed about the amount of times I had to repeat myself that I gave a 9.0 -
Good offer for those who got it0

Heres a quick question for anybody in the know. Basically I opted for the Inspiron 1150 offer with the 60GB 5400rpm hard drive and also the Insipron 510m with the 40GM 5400rpm hard drive. Now does anyone know if it is possible to swap these hard drives over so I can have the bigger 60GB hard drive in the higher specced 510M inspiron? If anyone could give me a few pointers as to whether this is possible/compatible etc, id be very greatful.
Edit: my estimated delivery date has now jumped back 2 more days till the 16th May, its all over the place tonight!0
