No it does not have Hyper Threading. Would be nice if it had.
Is the consensus that this P4 model is now the best deal or did anyone manage to get the 2.6 Celeron with the combo drive for £371 as in the advert?0 -
The £371 deal included an ordinary inkjet printer, not the all in one printer - so the deal wasn't really better than the others. I've gone for the 2.4 celeron deal as I think this will be much quieter and have a longer battery life than the 2.8.0
-
Why quieter? Can understand the longer battery life but surely the difference in noise cannot be that much. It will probably have the same fan in both.0
-
As it's running at a lower speed, the processor shouldn't heat up as much - and therefore the fan will not kick in as often. But it will be exactly the same volume when the fan is running.

OK this seems to good a deal to miss.
As I need two of them i've signed up for this R points thing but can someone tell me first if it is worth bothering with them and second, how on earth do I get the points/money back etc. Someone mentioned £5 per system.0 -
I would guess that a fan will always be runing on the 2.8. I noticed that the 2.4 uses a 65w adapter and the 2.8 needs a 90w. nearly 50% more power!0

Has anyone taken a look at the 5160 code 1-N04511? It seems to be a much better spec machine for £575 all in, which is only another £94 extra.
If you afford the extra £94 I would go for this one.
