My online tracking says "we have found your order but cannot advise on its status"
Great I was initially told 19th April on my pdf receipt, then I checked yesterday and it was 16th May now it wont even tell me.
I can feel a "we're sorry Mr Moose but we dont have any stock left Email" coming on.

im fearing the same, on my order status it doesnt even have an estimated delivery date anymore, its blank!!

Remember they have a lot of orders to fulfill on the present deals, so wouldn't worry just yet.

I ordered my laptop on the 11th and everytime i try to find the status it says we have locate your order but cannot advise a status, anyone know why this is?

they dont do the 1150 with the cdrw anymore just the normal dvd rom drive, seems to me they might be having a stock issue with the cd/rw option.

Agreed, stay cool folks! I ordered Thursday night; had a phone call on Monday saying delivery would be today; tracked delivery on-line all the way through Ireland, Holyhead, Coventry etc. (and I live nearer than you do Goat, ha!); got slightly worried yesterday morning when the tracking had an entry for my local hub saying "not rec'd/incomplete in depot"; but gleefully took delivery this morning without any other entries having been added to the tracking log in the last 24 hours.

I ordered the 1150 with cdrw on 7 April - delivery date of 19 April has just slipped to 25th. I just got off the phone from Dell's order status helpline who have confirmed the cdrw is no longer being manuafactured and there are about 350 customers for the 1150 whose orders are going to be affected. I was advised that a sales adviser would be phoning all these customers individually to discuss options. The agent could not say when I would be getting this call but claimed that once a revised spec has been agreed my laptop would be shipped by 21 April.

I really wish I had not upgraded to the cdrw as I was in two minds whether to include it or not; however, as Frugal_Moose says, maybe there will be a deal to be done. Dell have accepted our orders and one way or other will have to fulfill them.

Maybe you guys will get upgraded to a DVD-Writer?

oh great, so that probably means im in that 350 (ordered on the 9th) and not going to get a cd-rw, really need one of those in it. What to do now?
