  • Popped into my local about 4:30pm and there was lots of empty gaps on the shelves, hoping they do a major stock refill tonight otherwise there is going to be a lot of disappointed people tomorrow.

Made a list of all the things I'm looking to pick up tomorrow, going to check prices on internet now to see what price they've got to be tomorrow to make them worth buying otherwise it's internet shopping for me

    evening all

bobbi-M just been and got me milk lol and seen very similar to the last few posters. they had put toys on the end isles, the normal toy isle was pretty much same as it always is theyhave not changed or added anything and the workers were just stocking up the shelves(hopefully more than they had when we were looking as lots stuff only had coupleof each item. the end isle had all the new stuff and a big bit in the middle where the pumpkins are saw the following

hello kitty soft toys, ferris wheel thing, block type kit
barbie basic dolls, mermaid set, glittery chamber machine
ben 10 alien chamber and 1 other set
whole end isle of nerf with guns darts etc
whole end with sains own play kitchen type stuff food baskets ironing boards toasters etc
giant boxes of priness mega bloks and play table for m/bloks
sylvanian little nursery windmill and a open fronted barn type thing
peppa pig dominos and a few small sets £15 ish electronic bitss
large vtech ride on bike rocker for babies and vtech stand and play tower.

thats all i can remember at the mo phew !!

that was about it,no special displays for lego or moshis or bratz or monsters high or anything like that unfort.

Lego section (i know you were after this) is in the same place as always and looked very well stocked as was playmobil next to it.

If i had to guess i would say the end isle new stuff will be the 50% stuff and the normal bits are going to be lower unfortunately. hope this help you honey good luck and maybe i will see you there in the morning maybe we all need to make mse badges for next year......note to self look out for cheap kids badge making kits pmsl.

Thank you so much for your detailed report :):) sounds like some possible bits there for me to buy then! did you notice if they stock any of the Happyland range? was at pound lane store last week and noticed they had some in there. Didn't realise Sainsbobs stocked it. We plan to leave home 7.15 so will be there for when the doors open. Might see you in morn;)

I can't work out weather to go or not! I know it isn't going to be as good as previous years and all i really wanted for the children was Lego, maybe some nerf guns and moondough

I'll be going to Sainsburys in Thornhill, Cardiff i think

Popped into Colchester a short while ago.

Was not hopeful after seeing what they have.

I saw lots of Cars stuff in trollies and a lot of cheapo looking toys.

A few shelf edge tickets sitting around, but they were only 25% off labels.

Not happy. No way I will be going to there early in the morning as planned.

I was hopeful there was a chance I would see 50% off deals.

no they had no happy land (i thought that was elc and mothercare only) but they have all night to put out more, did read some of the boxes in the metal cages but just more of what was already out nerf and dolls mostly. pound lane last yr had more of a selection (i hit both before lunchtime) they seemed to have more "extra displays" alot of what would have been toys last yr is still at the mo fireworks and pumpkins and the cheap dvd and games they have been trying to get rid for the last few weeks at long/w

also saw the big signs they were getting ready to put up but loads seemed to be 25% ones rather than 50%, on the up side i dont usually sleep well b4 tomoz as my brain is working out prices and what to get etc but dont think i'll have that this yr as cant work out a plan coz dont know prices.

Check carefully what you get tho as i have been go thru argos and amazon earlier with some stuff they had out and evenif they drop it 50% off the sel it is still better priced elsewhere :( espech if you do the £5 off toy exchange thing at argos.

  • Was browsing the toy sale today when sainsburys staff were also doing a recky ! They told me not to buy anything as there was a sale I replied "oooh really???!"
They said sainsburys own and fisher price was 50 % off. I overheard some kids tablets where and cloud babies ?hope this helps xx
Bed now I'm up early haha
  • Popped up tonight to have a nosy, saw several promotional edges with Barbie, peppa pig cuddly toys and puzzles and nerf guns, then a long seperate set of shelves with lego, puzzles, hello kitty, my little pony.
All seperated from the usual toy shelves.
I am after lego friends but this wasn't on promotional shelf. Store opening usual time and i can't get there till late morning, have to do school runs and pics for little one typical!
