I placed an on-line order for my daughters and nephews christmas presents for £50+
7 x fisher price toys
2 x Lego Star Wars sets
8 items cancelled and the cheapest item at £3.99 sent with a delivery charge of £3.95
Fuming isn't the word.
Absolutely shocking...hope you can cancel that order "Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates man from the animals ...well except the weasel." - Homer J Simpson

There is a £5 off £35 gaming discount. If you bought products Tesco deem gaming, then that discount can kick in too.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

I'll be sending an email to sainsburys, as I don't think I have ever recieved such excellent customer service as they went out of their way to help me. And I think they should know how good their staff are. We moan far to much in this country and don't praise enough.
Speaking as somebody that worked in retail upto having children in my mid 20s, it is so lovely when a customer gets in touch to let management or head office know how wonderful the service you've given has been. I loved working in retail, I loved giving a good service and going all out for my customers, it made me feel good but you rarely get any thanks from your superiors. So it is so nice to actually get recognitionso good on you, so few people bother - like you say, if we have a complaint we're right on the phone, but receive exceptional service and we MEAN to get in touch, but often don't.
Also I worked in a department store for a while for a concession and everytime I had a customer tell HOF management (it happened maybe 4-5 times) how good I was, I received 2 vouchers as they would also contact my own superiors  YAY!
Anyhow, I have a tendency to waffle but the point I'm making is that I'm always urging people to send an email or make a phonecall, believe me, vouchers or not, it really brightens up your day to know that somebody has gone to that trouble for you:) xx

i cannot agree more i have worked in retail for many moons and the more you prase someone the more they do it ! i cannot tell you how quick customers are to complaine but dont understand the impact it has on staff i(although i do beleive we need to know when there is something wrong so we can correct it ) but f you also prase great service it make staff excited to go that extra mile for customers ! ask yourself how many times have you prased great service ? and how many times have you complained ?0 -
I have been on the Sainsburys website and gone in various stores but there is loads of stuff out of stock. They didn't prepare for this sale at all! Something I bought in store and something I wanted have both vanished from the website, the woman I asked for the Pretend & Play cash register looked it up and said they were available but weren't in stock. Useless.0

Completely agree with you both. I always give feedback on service, both good and bad. A recent email I sent to praise the staff in my Sainsbury's and they have just emailed to ask me if they could print my letter in there colleague magazine. x0 -
The website appears near empty of desirable goods (1 Lego item when I checked earlier) and in store has next to nothing. After experiencing the joy of half price last year and getting stocked up for Christmas and birthdays, I have bought precisely nothing from Sainsburys this year. Two issues - not everything half price (so Lego is just as good on 3 for 2 in Tesco where they have stock) and possibly worse, if you accept that it is still a sale just not as good as last year, they haven't the stock!

Agree with everyone, big dissapointment with this years sale. Got to my store at 7 but wasnt there long. Not much of a queue as not half term til next week here. Things not reduced enough, so spent £46 against £260 last year! Hopefully S.burys realise not made as much money and reduce all by 50% next year.0 -
