Half price toys at Sainsburys

I'm really not happy with Sainsburys.

I placed an on-line order for my daughters and nephews christmas presents for £50+

7 x fisher price toys
2 x Lego Star Wars sets

8 items cancelled and the cheapest item at £3.99 sent with a delivery charge of £3.95

Fuming isn't the word.

It might be worth keep checking your stores.....This morning my Local store didn't have much but this evening I managed to get lots of bargains....I'm feeling very smug again this year and managed to sort quite a few presents ready for Christmas, with a good mix of different toys and plenty Lego! Xxx

I would just like to PRAISE the Sainsburys Staff at the new carlisle store. :T:T:T:T:T:T

I was there at 7am, I was the only one, there on my own.
None of the SEL's had changed, so I asked a member of staff who was quickly trying to change them all over all by himself, and he spent time telling me what brand was what discount, and if I wanted any prices double checking then to just ask him and he'd scan it for me. :T:T:T:T:T:T

I managed to spend a reasonable £70.

I then went back this evening at 9pm ish, as I was passing by, and I know they put out stock across the whole store so thought I would see if there was anymore toys out yet, and the nice gentleman working on filling the shelves down the toy aisle, came up to me and asked me if there was anything specific I was looking for.

I managed to get some bits I didn't get this morning, maybe they weren't put out yet.

So to all those who think they have missed out - Keep checking back, the offer runs until the 2nd Novemebr and new stock is coming in on a daily basis.

I'll be sending an email to sainsburys, as I don't think I have ever recieved such excellent customer service as they went out of their way to help me. And I think they should know how good their staff are. We moan far to much in this country and don't praise enough.

The gentleman answering my questions at 11am in Camberley was in very high spirits for someone who'd been caught in a tornado of toys and customers since 6am. Very helpful and nice. :T

Tesco 3 for 2 on all toys has just gone live online, some very good deals to be had. Will be returning some of my Sainburys purchases from earlier as got a better deal through Tesco's. Very productive xmas shopping day today :-)

discount comes off at checkout. Every 3rd item in descending price order is free. There is a bit that says "view special offer" on each toy. When you hover over it it shows 3 for 2 toy offer. Remember code for £10 off £75 spend. I will be spending tomorrow returning stuff to Sainsburys and Smyths!

Is there a glitch in the system with the discount? I got an extra £5 off but can't understand why, obviously not complaining though lol

OK so got john lewis to price match an item out of stock on sainsburys! try it, also mothercare price match as well. Also Smythes £5 off £50 spend. Boots three for two, tesco three for two. Debenahmas some bits cheaper than sainsburys. check your sainsburys bill items also comming up different to what advertised. Thanks
