Hi all
Bobbi-m how did you get on? Managed to get everything on my list and isles were quite calm and friendly I thought. Please tell me you weren't the nutty lady at the front of the queue whooping and shouting when they were unlocking the doors lol. I was in done and home by half 8 I time for the school run yay.
Loads of Lego stuff left wasn't going nearly as fast with only third off. All sylvanian and most barbie gone tho as that was half price. Fisher price stuff still quite a lot left and plenty of Moshi and monsters high as not quite cheap enough for peep
Good luck all

Afternoon!!! no good god!! I was on the other side of the entrance but I could hear her getting hyper she dashed past me in the boys aisle and grabbed I think a fur real (or however you spel it) from beneath some bags - I couldn't help myself my mouth opened and out came "you were obviously here late last night then!! She had filled her trolley to the brim no doubt half will end on Ebay!! Got on fairly well thanks, got barbie doll for oldest plus 2 little lego friends sets I thought she could buy from her pocket money, a bigger set down from £10 to about £6.66 - one I'd had my eye on since it came out last christmas, the pink lego friends camper van (I couldn't resist) a few of their own make wooden toys for my nephew for his birthday, their own brand of doll plus an outfit, a few fisher price bits and a playmobil police van my friend wanted me to pick up!! like you say very calm really though it did get rather crazy after 9 when the school run was over and the mums hit the aisles like mad women!!! looked very empty when we left. Found some nice Lamaze, mamas and papas bits down the baby aisle that were reduced too!!0 -
Well after reading on here about the sale being "up to half price" instead of the normal everything half price i had quite low expectations really. I decided not to go mega early so just went after taking my son to school.
Got there about 10am and the aisle was quite busy. Definitely not as good as usual but got some bargains.
I got Moshi Monsters Super Seeds, Moshi Monsters bath fizzers, Hot Wheels cars, Lego mini figures, Nerf guns, Fisher Price baby toys, Wooden Sainsburys own brand toys.
Only spent £60 though and usually spend over £100.I'm FINALLY debt free! DFW Long Hauler #227LBM - Jan 2006  March 2006 -£26,725  Apr 2015 - £0!!! :jBaby boy born 1/8/08 Baby girl born 28/6/120 -

I agree - our manager told us the same couponqueen - however they do have a list of items that they are getting - so they know if you are looking for something that has not been in yet - it is unlikely that they're to be getting it iykwim - the same applied last year - I was looking toy story and other store had it but my local showed me their list on the computer and the sheet - and said they aren't down to be getting them - the same with Jake this year - so I bought online !0

Glad you managed to get some good stuff. I wasn't there by nine I was done by half eight paid in the car an ready to do the school run at 8.45 lol so glad managed to go early. I had to go again at lunch but not for toys (took my nana food shopping) and there was still loads there and still people coming out with trolleys full so looks like restocking going on during the day. May wander round again tomorrow just see if anything new

I wasn't going to bother, because our store has a tiny toy aisle and 25% off moshi isn't a great discount, but thanks to somebody on here mentioning the fizz bombs I went in this afternoon and got some at half price
I also bought some of the green discs for the nerf gun he got for his birthday - half price for those too52% tight0 -
I went to my local today to try and get some moshi monsters and lego friends... was disappointed tho as the treehouse was in the store but wasnt reduced like online
it was still 19.99 - OOS online tho but down to 13.32 - I did manage to get the aeroplane one reduced and a blind bag of moshi monsters was 1.50 instead of usual 2.00 - also got DD a moshi fizz bomb but they arent the same size moshis as the ones in the blind bags and collectors bags - they are alot smaller

Will be prepared for next year now , wasn't prepared this year! lol
Its the usual online slow site , site crashing , then things OOS anyway even after you order it scenario is it?
Might take a wander in on Friday & have a look but am doing alright for this year with bits and pieces from T Direct & Amazon etc & I definitely DON'T do the early morning squabble / madness down the aisles scenario! lol0 -
Babyplum - just check those moshi bath fizzers, it might be the same as I have bought. I bought two of the moshi fizzers from £3 down to £1.50 thinking they were for the bath and on the back it says not suitable for use in the bath.
I think you are just supposed to put them in a bowl of water. If it says not suitable in the bath I assume whatever it is made of is not good for kids skin.0 -
I don't know if this info is of any use to anyone but i purchased an electrical toy today for Xmas so asked about their returns policy to see if they would be covered after Xmas. Items purchased in this sale are only covered for the usual 28 days after purchase and if faulty you won't be able to take it back after Xmas (though i'm pretty sure you could argue it's not fit for purpose tbh!!) so it might be a good idea to check any electrical toys if anyones purchased anything along those lines0
