  • Well I have just come home from my local 24 hour store, they are checking out from 12.30, the staff don't know what discount is on what except Lego is definitely 30% off which is what I wa mainly going for, but there wasn't a massive choice of what I'm after. There was plenty of girls stuff, hello kitty, lala loopy, Minnie mouse etc, Ben 10, starwars for boys, but nothing I was prepared to wait until 12.30 for and take a chance of a rubbish discount. There were a lot less people then the last couple of years, but to be fair it was still early. Good luck to all of you venturing out in the morning, am sure you will do much better then me, but my beauty sleep is worth more then saving just a couple of quid ;-)

I can't work out weather to go or not! I know it isn't going to be as good as previous years and all i really wanted for the children was Lego, maybe some nerf guns and moondough

I'll be going to Sainsburys in Thornhill, Cardiff i think

Plenty of Lego, nerf guns and moon dough available at my store.

I'll be going - I might pick up some lego friends even at 1/3 off as dd1 wants some :( (I don't really like it)

School's still on here so I will hot foot it down after I have dropped them off, but as everyone is in a similair position I hopefully won't be too late
I don't really need much though - I still have lego bits from last year and we are cutting back in general anyway but I have a few friends to pick up for so we'll have a nosey

A head's up for you saw the Lego Friends Horse Trailer set priced up at £19.99 but that's before discount, so if it's 1/3 off as stated in other posts it would be about £13.99. Can't find it lower than £20 online. They also had sets for £9.99 and £7.99, so would be around £6.99 and £5.59. Not sure if it would work out cheaper than buying a 3 for 2 deal from somewhere else though
  • Just got back from Welwyn Garden Store,
Very similar picture to that which others have stated.
1 end of aisle with some very over priced Playmobil including a Plane for £50!, A Truck with a skip and then some knights bits n bobs.
Another end had the Hot Wheel Wall tracks currently at £40, along with some Nerf guns and Sylvanian Families windmill.
There was plenty of rubbishy Sainsburys own brand toys, including a baby play table, A ride on thing. an ironing board, a doctors set. There was a Dinosaur playset with various figures, a jeep and cages etc.

I'll be back for 7am with a few bits in mind to get but guess it all depends on what they drop the prices to for all the regular toys if I buy more or not.

How DARE you! Take that back! :rotfl:

RE the Furbies, get the Nerf guns instead, then you can shoot people who are getting in your way should you find a Furby on sale one day.

  • I went in about half 9 and there was still no shelf labels, i agree not much there and I dont think its worth rushing out in morning for. I was thinking of getting a couple of things but just checked reviews out an they are terrible so wont bother. A lot of younger kids toys 1-4 years i'd say, vtech toys etc, barbie glitter wardrobe, nerf stuff, dream kingdom styling head, dino capture playset, some lego, lots of role play toys ie ironing board, shopping trolley and teasets stuff, kids toolset and construction sets, polly pocket hangout house (not worth a penny according to amazon reviews!). Also some large fire trucks, jcb digger, ambulance etc. Sorry cant remember anymore. Definetely no furby though sorry.
