I have - just one. She has been brilliant, and it keeps me sane to be able to speak to someone in "real" life!

Tomorrow I am doing a table top sale (kind of an indoor car boot)to raise some cash.

It's a bit sad really - I know it's only material things but i'm really sad to see my books and things go. I am very attached to my books as they are a great escape.

I have sold stuff on Amazon and have made £300.

I also go to NCT nearly new sales with the kids stuff - they get 20% commission and I get the rest so I'm also helping out a charity.

My goal is to get to £1000 although I have SO many creditors that once I get there I won't know what to do with it!

I also forgot until recently that I have 50 shares in the Abbey so I'll sell those - I won't get much but every little helps.

Also of the debts listed in my signature most are my OH's but as he has not yet had his LBM so I just think of them as mine. Although it really annoys me as I used the £700 cashback we got for remortgaging to pay off one of his cards when I could have used it for my debt.

I am the only one selling stuff and I'm just thinking why am I doing this.............but that's a whole other thread.....

John, whilst I understand why you posted, the truth is,yes we do know about IVAs,but most of us cannot afford to enter into one. Most people on here who have DMPs are NOT paying a monthly charge,we use Payplan,CCCS or National Debtline all free of charge,my interest and charges have stopped as has creditor hassle.
You forgot to add in your 'advert' that 75% of your creditors must agree to your IVA,if most of your debt is with the same company, this would be virtually impossible.

I have read a lot of the messages about being in debt. I CAN HELP.
The only reason I Am doing this is because firstly I worked for the past 4 years getting people out of debt. I currently work in Insolvency and secondly I have been in debt myself and am now out of it.

    Hi Guys

Been away for a while at thje O/S board, trying to work out how to maximise the money I do have and trying not to think about the stuff I don't :(

    Helloooooo!

The weather is supposed to be quite good this weekend, but I have no opportunity for another car boot as we are busy busy busy! I have it in my mind to do one next weekend (but only if the weather is fine, no standing around in the freezing cold for me!).

Good luck to any of you who are doing a car boot this weekend. Remember, it is only "stuff" you are getting rid of. "Stuff" that can make you a bob or two!
