Hi there,
only just joined, but would like to join your club.
I have debts in region 66k, I am with the CCCS who have just put me on a DPM. I am so ashamed that i got myself into this mess after my Parents died and I suffered severe depression (and still do).
My Husband knows nothing of this mess I'm in as I know he would leave and have an 11yr old son to consider and I cannnot take the risk.
I hope you do not feel so lonely and we can help one another. Lonelytoo0 -
Hi Lonelytoo and welcome to these boards.
You will find lots of advice and support, but please make sure that you are looking after yourself. Do you have the depression under control?
Responding in a negative way after loosing your parents is nothing to be ashamed of and you need to have help by way of counselling etc if this has not been completely resolved. Telling your OH may seem difficult, but sooner or later you may need to do this. How are you paying your debt - are you in a DMP or just bunging as much as you can at it to clear it. Are you up to date with everything etc?
After I lost my Dad I went for the binge eating option - secret eating of literally carrier bags full of chocolate and biscuits, and I know that others have done similar negative things in these situations. However, with the support of those around us, in "real life" and on these boards, you will get through this.
Hope I haven't been too negative here! Just trying to help!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Thank you for your message Raq - I am glad things are sorting themselves out for you. My OH has an interview Friday although one of the candidates is already doing he job as a secondment so we are not particulaly hopeful - still you never know...
Table top sale on Saturday was rubbish - I made £11.50 and the table cost £10. Not impressed. Can I join you club too? I owe £40k or so and only told my oh last Tuesday night. Was finding life a bit of a chore with so much stress and pressure but am feeling more optimistic tonight now that my hubby (who has a very sensible attitude towards money as can be seen by his user name) has shown me this site. Thanks for making me see that this situation is fixable and I am not alone.0

Was expecting to start new job at 9am this morning but at 8am got a call to go in at Noon, so just clicking killing time till then.
Also me & mrs hampsterpoo went out last night for a curry and worked out that this friday we can clear one of our smaller debts. :TMember of change Pip's name back to PIP club

Hampsterpoo, hope your finger's OK - sounds v. painful. I've been made redundant three times. It's rubbish but you always come out the other end stronger. What kind of work do you do? I wish I could start at noon!I'm moving on up now,
