Its the pouches ive seen and they dont have the butchers symbol stamped above so thought i was going mad lol xThere's this place in me where your fingerprints still rest, your kisses still linger, and your whispers softly echo. It's the place where a part of you will forever be a part of me.

Thanks so much everyone! This website is fantastic, everyone is so kind. My faith in human nature has gone up since starting to post on here! I will go on a Butchers Classic mission today. Mitzi and Molly have totally turned their noses up at Waitrose Essentials now- a shame because it's only £2.55 for 12 pouches. They used to love Waitrose kitten food (not Essentials, one brand up from that), but I reckon they have changed manufacturer because the food in the pouch started to look very different, and also they stopped eating it!0

Pouches are a false economy in my opinion. You'd only get a fraction of the content of a can for more money. For example a pouch is 100gram for 39p whereas a tin is 400gram for about 65p,so for the same price(ish) of 2 pouches, you can get twice the content in a tin...
Whatever you do tho is steer clear of Kit E Kat,ever since they changed the formula to 'meat flavored' it's gone downhill. The ASSISI where I volunteer will now only feed it as a last resort.0 -
Just bear in mind cheap vs value for money - cheaper food often tends to be bulked out with poorly digested ingredients meaning more needs to be fed to provide the same nutrition. 2 tins at 50p each work out better value than 6 pouches at 20p each for example.0

Our cat is extremely fussy. I try to feed her good quality food - Grau, Animonda Carny etc, but she tends to turn her nose up at it. The food she will consistently eat is the little foil cartons of pate type food from Lidl (although she won't eat the one with the green lid). They are something ridiculous like 18 pence each and I really don't like feeding her it as I dread to think what's in it for that price, but she loves it

My 4 are on Classic and Tigger (ASda's own, same price) tinns plus dry.
They love both Classic and Tigger so...0 -
Mine are on Classic now too, and they love it, especially the old cat, who is the fussiest thing ever known to mankind!
Now to get them off Go-Cat and on to something better...0 -

Didn't know there were so many Classic fans! :T Not full of rubbish, just meat and animal derivatives and minerals IIRC.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

I've introduced Rupert to classic, still early days. He seems to like the chicken and the game, but not the beef. I'm trying the fishy kind this week and so far trout and ocean fish have been eaten.
My mum has taken the beef to see if her cat will eat it and share a pack.
EDIT - looks like Rupert is not getting on with the cat food after all. He's been having toilet problems for the last few days (little hard pellets like rabbit droppings) though a bit of cod liver oil seems to ahve helped things go through and he is back to normal today. I'm going to mix up the cat food a bit more (some butchersfor brekkie and some of the old stuff for dinner) and see if that helpsEmergency savings: 4600
