Best cheap/own brand cat food

Hello! Due to a change in circumstances, our cats, who are used to Sheba (!) will have to go down a brand or 3! I have tried Sainsburys and got a resounding no. I got Waitrose Essentials on Saturday, they like some flavours but today they have refused to eat. Any advice please? Thanks.

Butchers Classic goes down well with Daisy, who's a fussy eater...It's about £2.84 for a six pack in Tesco's.0

I was going to say Butchers Classic, too! It's a good quality food despite it's low price. Just today I spotted a new own brand pouch in Sainsburys; 'Braised' which they're selling individually it was 33p I think (so not all that cheap) there was a seafood flavour and a meaty flavour. One of my lot is addicted to Felix 'Sensations' but he wolfed down a fishy 'Braised' pouch this evening.0

Another vote for Butchers Classic. From Asda Toplife is very good value if it's still on rollback, it's very high meat content no cereal fillers and not too much jelly.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Another thumbs up for Classic! Our 6 are fussy gits and I've tried all sorts of fancy stuff, but it's Classic, Felix or Whiskas.. everything else has 6 sets of whiskers turned up..:oRuaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

Same as Daisy!:rotfl: Cept she won't eat anything in gravy either...
They must be from the same family Spike!! Ours won't touch gravy ones either
The only gravy they'll eat is if it's the Roast pork or beef from OUR dinner and it's got gravy on it:rotfl:Ruaridh Armstrong-missing since 05/11/11. Come home old boy-we miss you x

Sorry to be ignorant, but butchers classic? i was under the impression that butchers was a dog food, im guessing by your replies they do it for cats too but ive never seen it.There's this place in me where your fingerprints still rest, your kisses still linger, and your whispers softly echo. It's the place where a part of you will forever be a part of me.

valkirn, its a catfood called Classic, made by the same Butchers as make the dog food Butchers.
Years ago when first advertised it used to just be called Classic, now the it tends to be called Butchers Classic.
