If anyone can help me, great.
I am at the stage where i have received an Acknowledgement of service from the County Court so i guess it is going all the way. I have just received two letters from Abbey National. (I am asking for £3000 including interest). The first letter is asking me for details on how i calculated my claim which i can do easy with the copy statements and the spreadsheet / calculator on this site but they have also asked for details on how the interest was calculated by reference to each charge. I dont know the answer to this, i basically followed the guidelines on this forum and used the calculator. They also want my email address and mobile number.
Should i respond to this letter? should i send them want they want? how do i word the bit about how the interest was calculated?
I have now just received another letter which is basically a copy of the defense they have entered at the court, they really are taking this to the very end. Does this mean i will be getting a questionaire sometime soon from the courts? is it normal for abbey to take it this far?0 -
In that case it seems this is their standard response = little or no response.
Time to head to court me thinks.0 -

Do I proceed to court or do I call to see if they received the letter?
Thanks, LK
If you have sent the bank the letter before action giving them 14 days or you will start court action, then by all means start the court action but you must give them notice.0 -

Although you have already sent your spreadsheet to the bank just send it again or fax it through however you don't need to answer anything else.
Should you get the Allocation Questionnaire you'll find a guide to filling it in in the the Reclaim Help Thread, linked in my signature.0 -

Ok, I phoned. Claim not to have recieved my letter. Faxed it over with a complaint reference no. Abbey claim that under SS (?) guidelines they have 8 weeks to investigate. Is this true? What is SS?0

I asked abbey on Jan 11th for information on charges as per martins templates. A month later I got a reply with the cheque back as my address had changed, they asked me to change address and re-submit (that took them a month), I did that and resent the letter early feb also complaining at the length of time they had taken to respond in the first instance and demanding action. As yet i have received NOTHING! I called them about 4 weeks ago and they said it was being processed and had been requested 22 feb but could take six weeks. It is way over the 40 days but i see that lots of people have problems with abbey, can someone please advise me on next stage - directions to the relevant section of the information Commisioner site or a template letter would be fantastic. Thanks very much and good luck to all.
