Hi i was just wondering:rolleyes: ...
I have some letters from Abbey about charges that will be taken from my account but i do not have the statements for these (4 letters). I have all my other statements and dont want to have to send £10 for the 4 i dont have. How can i make a claim for these charges without my statements? Is this possible.shev:cool:0 -

I'm totalling near £900 in charges over the years but somehow doubt I'll get it back, never been the best bank to deal with though I have opened an account with alliance and leicester and they have been great.

Watch Abbey when sending your first letter . . . not sure if this is a one off, but might be worth watching . . .
The day Abbey acknowleged my letter claiming £2110 (with charges think it was over £2400) they cancelled my bank card. I had no notification, no warning, just turned it off . . when I questioned it they said someone had done it but refused to say why, they are now in the process of sending me another, but has made me all the more determined to fight this all the way. :mad:0 -
CPR Part 18
I've just received Shabbey's defence and they are giving me the chance to accept 65% of my full claim. I'm going to ignore and continue through the courts for the full amount.
Is it worth sending Abbey a CPR Part 18 request as mentioned in the CAG website, has anyone done this with any success, from what I've read I need to do this before I get the AQ, how long does that normally take to come out after a defence has been submitted?0 -
Hi All,
I have progressing my claim with Abbey since January now.
Right he is my situation, done all the letters etc, I filed an online money claim and this has got defended by Abbey in the middle of May. I then received a Notice of Transfer of Proceedings from Wandsworth County Court on 6th June and I have not heard a thing since. It has now been over a month since Abbey defended they claim.
I have been trying to phone them for the past week and the phone is permanatley engaged, the number I have for them is 0208 333 4351.
Any ideas what I should do? Does it usually take this long to hear from them? From what I can tell I am waiting for the district judge to look at my claim and then send my an allocation questionaire, this process is seeming to take forever.
Any help to get this moving a bit more quickly would be appreciated.0 -
Hi there .....have you tried calling the court to which you were assigned ....have just found this number ....0845 6006014 (Abbey) could be worth a try0

Hi,
Yes the number I have been trying is for Wandsworth County Court but it is permantley engaged, I don't see the point in phoning Abbey as they have been very unhelpful so far.0 -
hi
could someone please advise me on what to do next
i asked for my charges in april and got the uaual letters(we are investigating)
then on friday 22/06/2007 had a letter saying they were giving me a goodwill gesture of £200 i phoned up the bank and told them i would accept this as part payment but i'm still going to proceed to the next stage they said the would investigate my claim further and would not hear from them for about 6 weeks.
my question is do i wait to hear off them or do i start proceeding though MCOL:huh:0
