  • Today I am having an absolute nightmare! I didn't get paid a full weeks wage on Friday due to being off over christmas and not getting any holiday pay. the majority of my money got swallowed up in overdraft fees :( then I withdrew what was left which was £50 (to last me until Friday) I put £20 in the car and spent £22 on the weekly food shop the remainder I used to get my mums birthday card and present. Then I decide to have a look through my brand spanking new money diary and see I have a bill coming out on TUESDAY for £36 - I am so mad at myself for over looking this - I really thought I had nothing coming out until Friday! So now I have 2 days to find £36 - argh! I know its not a lot but when you havent got a penny it might aswell be hundreds! What a life hey! x

  • So after a pretty depressing day and a good chat with a family member - they very kindly lent me the £36 needed to cover the bill - what a horrible thing i needed to do :( tho i have budgeted and can pay it back on Friday. It just feels so sad :(

Me and hubs have been ebaying today - im trying to list 10 items a day and all money will go towards paying our god awful overdraft off! thinking of doing it in £100 installments?

Anyway off to sort my spreadsheets out! xx

  • Oh sweetie...... Take a deep breath.

I can't imagine how you are feeling right now. I might soon though x

I'm pleased that someone was able to lend a hand. Maybe you will be in a position to help them with something further along the Yellow Brick Road? Not necessarily in monetary terms, but something else x

Hope the next few days go ok for you, wishing you the best :-)

I'm hoping to get to sleep soon as I'm back at the Emerald City tomorrow after 2 weeks away..... Go figure, as soon as I need to sleep I can't ....lol x

  • Still struggling to get on top of things, had to make a couple of phone calls to dif companies to explain my situation. Anyway the good news is that I get paid next week (properly) and my husband gets his first pay too! We have also received a letter from our PPI and they have agreed to help may some mortgage for when my hubs was unemployed and we have now offically handed our daughters nursery notice in so that will save us some pennies and we have been selling on ebay and due to the sale of one significant item we have managed to make nearly £150 so far this month so we need to keep up with that. We are literally doing everything we possibly can now and I have found lots of thrifty blogs that I have been reading and getting ideas from!

I really need to try and post on here every night, even if its just nonsense rambling - it does help me to keep focussed! xxx

Sent some eBay parcels today but made a whoopsie on the postage and packaging so lost out! Arghh!

Anyway I paid £12 to my friend from work today as she picked me a duvet up for bubs. Need to put some money from sales in the bank but its so hard as it means a trip into town which I nearly never do!

Still desperate to make some extra money - think I will have a nosey over at up your income? Xx

  • mmmm no luck with the up your income. I currently work full time and im considering getting a part time job? would that just be crazy? ive stopped my zumba classes for the time being saving me £4 a week and also cancelled my eye brow appointment saving me £4.50 - my only worry is is that i willl eventually eliminate everything from my life lol i guess i just need to keep reminding myself that this is all temporary and if i can live a frugal life for even one year it will make all the rest better and more enjoyable! xx
