That is pretty good with the weekly food shop, I think that's still my biggest downfall! Approved foods is one of my weakness's,I spend for the three of us roughly £50 and includes the cat! i really need to get better at this!Having a Consumer Holiday 2015:A0

£35 is AWESOME! We still manage 40ish pw and there's only 2 of us! (& hammy, but he doesn't really eat that much, so we cant blame him :rotfl: )September 2016 GC £21.37/£1200

So hubs has rang SKY today and got reduced our package meaning we also reduce our monthly payment! so thats good! made another sale today of £20 subject to collection - luckily everything ive sold so far has been through fb so no selling fees etc altho it is free listing again on ebay this weekend so put a couple of things on there.
Not much else happening here at the moment! think i already mentioned hubs has a couple of interviews this week so fingers crossed there! xxSnowballing my way out of debt!Catalogue [STRIKE]£1600 [/STRIKE] £1502 - Catalogue 0% [STRIKE]£900[/STRIKE] £860 - CC £2390 - OD £3500 - Family £1050 - Laptop £280.81 - Loan £3485.81 - Wescott £2814.56TOTAL OCT 12 £16021.18:eek:Member of the Sealed Pot Challenge #18400

Good luck to your hubby for his interviews.
How many are in your household. You are obviously very grocery shopping savvy. We spend about £60 a week I reckon but we did have this down to £50 a week.
Well done on your sales! xOrange Fairy

            Hi everyone
Orange fairy there is three of us and a dog and a cat! no more sales have been made lately so thats a nightmare! think we are going to ring sky tho and completley cancel! also we have a break from our water bill now for a couple of months so that gives us a little break.
Hubbys interview went okay but not sure it was what he thought, it seemed more like an agency and they offered him training miles away that still doesnt guarantee him a job so not sure what to think?! xSnowballing my way out of debt!Catalogue [STRIKE]£1600 [/STRIKE] £1502 - Catalogue 0% [STRIKE]£900[/STRIKE] £860 - CC £2390 - OD £3500 - Family £1050 - Laptop £280.81 - Loan £3485.81 - Wescott £2814.56TOTAL OCT 12 £16021.18:eek:Member of the Sealed Pot Challenge #18400

your food bill is impressive to feed that many, i think i should be getting tips from you,do you menu plan? I have never had sky,so don't know how much you will miss it, but we get by without it, very occasionally the DH goes and watches a bit of sky sports at one of the local pubs and as a beer, but still is loads cheaper than having sky at home!
Hope the job/agency works out for your DH! Fingers crossed for you!Having a Consumer Holiday 2015:A0

Right so I am back - things got abit horrible while i was 'away' from MSE - our money got so so tight with Christmas, we also went away on a hol we booked this time last year but that meant I didn't get paid while I was off work - some good news was that my hubby got a job so thats a relief, but we are still waiting for him to get his first full months wages. So now we are playing catch up but realising we can't continue to keep robbing Peter to pay Paul we have sat down and made some changes including cancelling sky, we have also decided to look at alternative (cheaper) childcare arrangements, I am no longer visiting the hairdressers, instead my friend who is a qualified hairdresser is cutting my hair for me, we have found the cheapest diesel station and make a point of only filling the car up from there and we are also trying to declutter and sell on ebay! We are being really strict and asking the do we NEED it or just WANT it question when making decisions about buying things. We've set a target of paying off £5000 worth of debt by the end of June! xx Snowballing my way out of debt!Catalogue [STRIKE]£1600 [/STRIKE] £1502 - Catalogue 0% [STRIKE]£900[/STRIKE] £860 - CC £2390 - OD £3500 - Family £1050 - Laptop £280.81 - Loan £3485.81 - Wescott £2814.56TOTAL OCT 12 £16021.18:eek:Member of the Sealed Pot Challenge #18400 but realising we can't continue to keep robbing Peter to pay Paul we have sat down and made some changes including cancelling sky, we have also decided to look at alternative (cheaper) childcare arrangements, I am no longer visiting the hairdressers, instead my friend who is a qualified hairdresser is cutting my hair for me, we have found the cheapest diesel station and make a point of only filling the car up from there and we are also trying to declutter and sell on ebay! Always the case...wanted my bed all day and now I'm in it I can't stop thinking about money (or lack of!) and debt busting!xxSnowballing my way out of debt!Catalogue [STRIKE]£1600 [/STRIKE] £1502 - Catalogue 0% [STRIKE]£900[/STRIKE] £860 - CC £2390 - OD £3500 - Family £1050 - Laptop £280.81 - Loan £3485.81 - Wescott £2814.56TOTAL OCT 12 £16021.18:eek:Member of the Sealed Pot Challenge #18400

Just thought I would pop on and update my diary although having said that there's not really much to say? its all abit frustrating at the moment, i want results NOW and can't have them - ive been dicking about here since 2009 - don't get me wrong i have reduced the debts just not nearly enough as I would have liked!
Im going to tidy up and then look at my new spreadsheets, update my diary and update my calendar. Also trying to check my bank balance but the Halifax website doesn't appear to be working?
Pay day tommorow, though I'm only getting paid for 2 days as I was off over Christmas, so another tough week ahead
Looking at my debts and although I want to snowballing I also want to feel a sense of satisfaction - I have a 'small' debt of just under £200 which I want to pay off. I know it seems silly but just being able to say yes! ive paid one off will be fab xx Snowballing my way out of debt!Catalogue [STRIKE]£1600 [/STRIKE] £1502 - Catalogue 0% [STRIKE]£900[/STRIKE] £860 - CC £2390 - OD £3500 - Family £1050 - Laptop £280.81 - Loan £3485.81 - Wescott £2814.56TOTAL OCT 12 £16021.18:eek:Member of the Sealed Pot Challenge #18400 xx Snowballing my way out of debt!Catalogue [STRIKE]£1600 [/STRIKE] £1502 - Catalogue 0% [STRIKE]£900[/STRIKE] £860 - CC £2390 - OD £3500 - Family £1050 - Laptop £280.81 - Loan £3485.81 - Wescott £2814.56TOTAL OCT 12 £16021.18:eek:Member of the Sealed Pot Challenge #18400
