Is that the only difference with the tom tom one and tom tom one xl the screen size? its quite a jump in money just to get a bigger screen

I think the XL also has bluetooth and the smaller version doesn't ... I'm sure someone with more knowledge will confirm/deny this.

The TT ONE Version 2 and the XL have bluetooth, but you can only use it for Tomtom PLUS services like traffic, you cannot use it as a handsfree.
The new TT ONE version 3 does not have bluetooth or an SD card slot. It does have an RDS-TMC traffic connector which the XL and version 2 don't have.
I think if you go for the version 3 its best to pay the extra £30 to get the Europe version which comes with 1Gb of internal memory compared with 512mb on the UK version, it gives you more memory to play with.

My MIO 269 came today. 5 stars to Pentagon GPS ordered minight Monday delivered 9am Wed. http://www.pentagongps.co.uk/ 5 Stars for first class service and delivery! Have to say I am totally delighted with this sat nav, even picked up our VERY rural location that Garmin and Tom Tom have not found as our road is off the beaten track on a private road, but the MIO picked it up immediataly.

    GREAT KIT, GREAT PRICE!:T

thanks for this post and tip off, ordered mine 1.00am Thursday delivered 10.00 am Friday :T

Only a few of this model left and the Mio 268 have now all gone !!

Have found them elsewhere for £270 ish and Amazon had them for £369 so truely a bargain at £137.00 including delivery :T
  • Just thought id let you people know that this gaf http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=290159493243&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=019 are accepting £65 for the Ay to Be! Im only 20 minutes from this place its got the bargain touch for me AND if you can lay your hands on TT v6.02 the WINCE op system will run it :D

Some reviews knocking about and they don't read to bad for the unit, plenty of people fiddling with it to get extra usability/features!

Might do for someone on a budget.....

Glad to be of help, I hope you get as much fun out of yours as we have.
We went to Wales and seen some fantastic countryside using the "Shortest Route" option without using motorways and saw parts of Wales which were truly stunning, and the Mio was spot on with every address entered.
I still say this Mio is the best for features and top value for money:money: .

    regards

Thanks for the reply. we seem to be in a minority here with the Mio but have given it a few testings this week. the only problem we are having is getting it to our own actual address correctly but we do live very rural and our road has been split into three  very aggrivating though!

we dont go far and it has been purchased mainly for hubby getting to clients addresses on time for the start of a job instead of wasting time while lost  a favourite hobby of his :rotfl:

I am hoping the speeding warning will also turn into a money saver as he has habit of collecting speeding tickets :o

Very pleased with it though and have recommended to two friends last week while stocks last

Oh Dear just looked and it has gone up by £50

I live rural and had to set my home address by using the co ordinates the GPS part and set your home position from there (when u r at home of course) it wont show your address but rather the latitude/longtitude numbers but it does make it safer that your address isnt shown for security reasons.
PM me if u have problems setting it and I will run through it my end and then PM u with a step by step instructions:)
BTW Im not surprided it is up in price always thought it was a mistake as the quality and features are top notch.;)
