Evesham have until the 16th April knocked £30 (now £119.99) off the price of the Nac-Cam 7700. It just won an award from Auto Express as a good Sat-Nav (that and the price drop made me buy last Monday and it got me to Cornwall and back without trouble over the bank holiday). Oh and FREE Speed Camera Updates

£1.99 for a road atlas from your nearest discount bookshop - and much cheaper to update too as it will probably cost another £1.99 next year!0

if you use a mobile, upgrade next time to a smartphone [eg mda vario, orange spv, nokia n series] usually the phone will be free on a contract, then all you need to get is a copy of tomtom mobile and a bluetooth gps device.
Over the course of the contract it may work out about the same as a cheapo standalone, but you would have had a phone service / bundled minutes also.
At the end of the contract, you would have a phone to sell with tomtom, which is an asset you can earn a premium for over a vanilla phone:-).
plus when you leave the car unattended you don't have a ridiculous 'come steal me' suction mount marking - you're always carrying the phone [and satnav] with you. the bluetooth gps is the size of a matchbox.0 -
TotalPDA does some refurbished ones for cheaper
They have this Navman for £113.92 (inc VAT + delivery) - not sure how good it is compared to the Navman that Martin had listed.

They have the TomTomOne Europe version for £139.77 (inc VAT + delivery)

I couldn't find this anywhere for under £195 and thought it was an error. Mine arrives and so have my friends!
You can update it from the Garmin site thorugh the use of free Garmin Software and they will also provide new maps for installation if they have released others since the device was installed. Mine arrive with Version 8 and Version 9 in coming by post for free!
Fully recommended Satnav
I was looking at buying this model from Halfords but wasn't sure if it also has a "Safety Camera" detection device. Does anyone know if it does as I don't want a load of different gadgets over the dash? I need one that combines Sat Nav, Camera detector and Handsfree phone capabilities, any recommendations?0
