Can anyone recommend one that can be used for driving in France - getting from Calais to Disneyland Paris, so primarily main roads?

We will be doing this in a couple of weeks and have printed out the route from viamichelin.com: was going to get a sat nav but the europe ones are too expensive at the moment. If all else fails, suggest you use their site.
In the UK we use the route planner on theaa.com. Of course it doesnt recalibrate if you are diverted, but hey at least its free.

Well im driving to Disney in 4 weeks and i have just picked up a TOMTOM 510 for £199...great price i think.

So much easier with a SatNav - i feel pretty confident about driving to France now. I also brought a IPOD for £99(4GB) which i can connect to the Sat Nav along with my phone via bluetooth.

We are touring the continent for our summer hols, so my husband has just bought the Navii garmin 250, which does all the european maps.It was more expensive than some mentioned ( £180.00) but also provides hotels/resaturants etc in a location as you can carry it with you.
It will also hopefully save all the arguments over which way to turn!
He has tested it out here and is very pleased with it.

Just an update to my earlier post about map versions. A friend of mine bought a Tomtom One Europe in Halfords on 12 May. It DID have the latest 6.75 map. So it looks as if they are now filtering down through the retail chain.

On that link, Comet have a TomTom One Europe "Travel Edition" for £279. That's about £90 more than the "normal" TomTom One Europe, yet I can't see any difference. It boasts full maps of all western Europe, but isn't this what the ordinary TomTom One Europe has?

I think all that is different is that a Tomtom carry case is included worth about £20!?

    Guys,
    I have a question..
I have purchaed the £150 navman icn 720 from toys r us. Can someone confirm if this comes with a car adaptor and car mounting bracket? Its just I saw it for sale (for quite a bit) in a few other places but they advertised it "with T1 TMC Traffic Module", and they retail around £52. Not an issue, would just like a headsup so I can buy the bracket before my sat nav arrives.
    Thanks
