The Navman 720 needs the separate module to receive the traffic updates. You will then know in advance about any problems on your route and can automatically recalculate your route if you want. Furthermore, once you have bought the Traffic Module, there are no additional subscriptions for the traffic updates.

    Optional Traffic Module .

The optional traffic pack makes the Navman the ultimate tool for all motorists. The iCN 720 display live traffic information as icons on the map and provide you with all the information you need about the road ahead. Users can easily plan their trip, view incidents and re-route to avoid problems. The traffic pack is plug-and-play and includes a free, lifetime traffic subscription for the UK, France and Germany, with no need for additional equipment and no hidden data costs.

As far as the Congestion Charge goes, I cant see anything on the unit itself but I believe you can download the info in POI format.

    Hope this helps:rolleyes:

A reminder, that most should not need, to pay attention to the road conditions rather than rely on a piece of software.

Great quote from this numpty: 'People should be more careful with them - you never know where they might lead you.'

If it told you to drive off a cliff sweetheart - would you not question it?

Can anyone recommend one that can be used for driving in France - getting from Calais to Disneyland Paris, so primarily main roads?

I think that might be Version 1. Best to check before buying.

Fastshow and BLazejohny - I am guessing that your responses are to Judderman or does Tom Tom 1 have France on it? What would be the difference from version 1?
