:rotfl: a teeny tiny urge to do some housework was quickly quashed by a much bigger urge to do absolutely nothing :p

  • Still coughy and achy and tired and fed up :( I'm a terrible patient!

£25.35 spent on groceries for the coming week and then we're both away the following week. Mr MWC was mortified when I paid with loose change (£12.27) in Lid! :rotfl:

    Grocery challenge = [STRIKE]£24.53[/STRIKE] £49.88/£315

  • Back to work tomorrow - it's going to be a struggle after 25 days off

    Today I need to:

    - clean bathroom (essential as we have guests today :o)
    - declutter dining room
    - pick salad leaves
    - clean chicken coop
    - pop to M&S (to return items bought at full price the day before they sent me a 20% discount code and collect the same items (and a couple of things for Mr MWC) bought at 20% off!)

Venison sausages with roast vegetables for dinner yesterday using YS sausages from the freezer and using up vegetables including the last of the potatoes and parsnips bought before Christmas. Green vegetables mac 'n' cheese planned for lunch today to use up some cheese leftover from Christmas and squash, sweet potato, leek & ginger soup for dinner.

Hope you're recovered now, might take a while to feel 100% after being poorly for so long, take it easy at work.

    Today I need to:

    - clean bathroom (essential as we have guests today :o) - had just finished doing it when they arrived 15 minutes early
    - declutter dining room - delegated to Mr MWC
    - pick salad leaves - done, currently @ £1.38 bag
    - clean chicken coop - done
    - pop to M&S (to return items bought at full price the day before they sent me a 20% discount code and collect the same items (and a couple of things for Mr MWC) bought at 20% off!) - done

I fully intend to take it easy at work - I'm on the holiday countdown now :p

I'm annoyed with myself as I got in a muddle with Mr MWC's travels dates  I was trying to coordinate our return flights so that we could travel home from the airport together but I've just realised that I'm arriving the day before him i.e. I'm coming home one day earlier than I need to :(

  • I've survived my first day back at work - just, I have a stonking headache now. I look rough so nobody doubted that I've been ill!

I've done a few surveys and claimed a free jar of Mr MWC's favourite rose harissa RRP £4.35 :T

A handful of sprouts (last of the pre-Christmas veg) were shredded and added to a winter coleslaw that was served with LO venison sausages and beetroot from Saturday. I've got the munchies now though and I'm desperately trying not to eat Mr MWC's chocolate...

Oh my, MWC, you've been so ill :( I'm so sorry to hear it, and that I haven't caught up before now :(:o:o:o

Thank heavens you've got your holibob coming up so soon, and that you're properly convalescent before you go - hopefully, you'll be able to enjoy it properly.

I give you my permission to ignore work :D if you'd like, y'know :D
