Nope, I need to sit it out and wait for the FTSE 100 to recover. I don't need the cash right now so I just need to be patient - not one of my strengths...!

I'm exhausted *zzzzz*
I had the day off work to sort out my great aunt's affairs - clearing rubbish from her bungalow, a termination of tenancy meeting with the city council housing officer and a financial assessment meeting with the county council...

I'm sure I don't have to tell you this, but be careful if social workers are involved. They can be very helpful, but are not beyond adjusting the truth where financial matters are concerned. They tried to get one of my elderly neighbours to take out equity release on his property to pay for the care home they insisted his wife went in. They had very few savings (below the limit) and the LA were supposed to pay. They also have an almost 60 disabled daughter living with them.0
