Normality has been restored... LO bubble & squeak and fried eggs with tomato ketchup for dinner :rotfl: Mr MWC is enjoying moules-frites and trappist beer!
No financial news really - I'm waiting for the regular payment for the further advance to be refunded to the joint current a/c and my dental payment plan claim to be paid out.
Plans for this evening include soaking in the bath and having an early night

Mr MWC will be home this evening :j not in time to cook my dinner though...
I had a butternut squash, goat's cheese & rosemary pizza (yum!) with a radicchio salad (also yum!)
I was quite productive at work today - I spent a couple of hours decluttering my cupboard/cleaning my desk and then I was really able to focus on what needed doing
Do you remember me mentioning a while back that it had been recommended that I had annual breast screening? The appointment came through today for mid-December.

So I was very excited to get rapini (aka cime di rapa or broccoli rabe) in my veg box this week :T
Pasta with rapini & potato is one our favourite meals when we visit my aunt and uncle
Bring diced potatoes to boil with salted water in large pasta pot.
Trim and prepare rapini cutting into smaller pieces.
When water is boiling put in pasta first (bucatini or spaghetti) and add rapini for the last 5 to 6 minutes.
Meanwhile in a frying pan add chopped garlic to olive oil and brown.
This will be poured over pasta, potato and rapini when drained.
Enjoy!Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

They're not pears, they're quinces :j:j:j
I've been hearing a lot about quinces over the last couple of weeks - must be that time of year - and had meant to google them … but have now learned yet another thing from your thread … they are small hard things that look a bit like pears :T

This sounds lovely MWC. I have some butternut squash to use up, is it just a case of putting it onto a pizza base and cooking or do you need to roast the butternut squash first?
