Just got caught up! Great on the loss of pounds (weight) and the gaining of pounds (pay) :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
  • at people who close roads for the weekend and don't put any signs up informing you until about 100 metres from where it's closed

By the time I could turn off, I'd been crawling along in first gear for 45 minutes, I'd missed my hairdresser's appointment and my car was threatening to overheat :(

    But...

Bedding, towels and clothes dried outside today

    Chub club weigh-in this morning - I've lost another 1.5 lbs:T

We pottered in the garden this afternoon - Mr MWC mowed the lawn and I tidied up :)

Mr MWC cooked Bengali butternut squash with chickpeas and stir-fried cabbage (without the Bengal gram, coconut and peanuts to reduce the calories)

1/4 bag frozen peas + a handful of broad beans
    300 g smoked bacon lardons

135 g smoked cod (to be eaten the week after next)

Ooh, you still have sloes in your freezer! Now that my original countryside site has been built on, I have to find another ... you're doing very well on emptying the freezer, MWC :)

You have more in your 'nearly empty' freezer than I have in my 'full' one! Tho' I have to have space for up to 12 loaves of g-f bread, so can't fill it with other food...

  • I returned loads of clothes today :T but came home with loads more... oh dear :o

18,000 steps stepped (mooching round the shops + a brisk 3-mile walk this evening)

The HM stock remained unidentified but it was delicious, along with the chipolatas, in sausage, kale & barley stew
