Mind, you could have gone for broke and asked, 'Could he please make sure that Afghan Carrot Hotpot was included in this month's plan.......' :rotfl:

I used buttermilk in the dough (overnight rise in the fridge) and spread yoghurt on the top to help browning. Resultant loaf was really quite brioche like in taste/texture (but no butter actually in it iyswim).
I won't be eating the crumbleas I need to lose another 10 pounds before we go to Vietnam
Your bread sounds delicious - our bread and cheese-making plans have gone on the back burner for a few months...

(Very) belated happy New Year and Birthday MWC
You've probably answered this one before, but do you or Mr MWC have Scottish roots? I ask as you seem very keen on Hogmany and Haggis Day.
Also, if I'm not being cheeky, what do you invest in in your S&S ISA? Curious as you're a sensible sort0 -

Mr MWC is Scottish - his family moved south from the Borders when he was 16. We've just used a bottle of Traquair ale in the beef stew for tomorrow :cool:edinburgher wrote: »Also, if I'm not being cheeky, what do you invest in in your S&S ISA? Curious as you're a sensible sort
No idea edIt's Mr MWC's and I'm letting him get on with it without interfering! I hope I don't come to regret that decision :rotfl:

I'm also from the Borders (won't say where as it makes me even less anonymous).0 -

Well, you've already achieved your first target MWC, so I'm sure you'll reach your target for your holsoooh, and just think of the fantastic flavours and exciting ingredients when you're there....... *gasp*....... food heaven
I've got to find a *nice* beer for our beer and bean casserole for next Saturday - we'll be munching it whilst France v Scotland in the rugger is on. T'would be nice if I could get a tasty beer from either country, but it'll depend what I can get on a *student* budget :rotfl::D:D:D

Thanks greying, I had forgotten that the Six Nations was about to start, France vs [STRIKE]the Glasgow Warriors[/STRIKE] Scotland will provide us with some cheap entertainment next weekend0 -
Aw, glad the girls had a runaround :T.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
