  • MWC - I think I have managed to find my 'Scottish' beer for the bean & beer casserole I intend to make for dinner, whilst we sit watching the France v Scotland rugger match on Saturday. I wonder if MrMWC approves?

Crochet really isn't difficult. I learnt in my early twenties from a book designed for children. The great thing about books for children like this is that they assume absolutely no prior knowledge, whereas books for adults do, which is a bit of a non-starter if you don't.
  • Now why didn't I think of that?! I shall have a look in the library next weekend. Thank you patanne :T

  • What's happened since last weekend? Not much :rotfl:

    - stayed the same weight at fat club :( disappointing but not too bad considering that I've been away for 4 days this week
    - wore my fitbit and walked >100,000 steps
    - received £25.24 TCB :T
    - continued decluttering the freezer (1 smoked haddock fillet, LO roast turkey, spinach & ricotta tortelloni, 3 sausages and 3 fish fingers have been used this week + 1kg mixed game and another 4 sausages to be used tomorrow)
    - whisky marmalade-making is ongoing :)

Eggs IN some (but less than last week as several of The Girls have decided it isn't spring after all)
Eggs OUT 18 (3 boxes sold for £5.25)
Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
    Mortgage-free: January 2021

The marmalade is very good. Mr MWC is not best pleased though - I used an 18 year old single malt...
