  • Eggs IN 3
Eggs OUT 1 (Mr MWC broke one...)

Money shuffled, ISA transferred, bills paid, £850 MOPd and £500 transferred to holiday account :)

Chooks remained separated for most of the day. Mr MWC let them mingle when he got home from London town but the meanies ganged up on Miss Clarissa so he had to separate them again :(

I've been in a right grump today for no good reason - I hope I get out of bed on the right side tomorrow!

Today was Day 97/100 of the walking challenge and I'm on target to have walked 1.75 million steps (700 miles) :T
Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
    Mortgage-free: January 2021
Retired: June 2022 (186 months early!)

    :(:(:(:(:(:(:(

I hear you on the 'grump for no good reason'. I have those too :( And of course, as an intelligent person, you're telling yourself off, because you've nowt to be niggled about :( Must admit, the most useful remedy for me is a sleep and a new day. Hope it proves thus for you MWC

Hope today is nothing short of brilliant for you - and the girls get some sort of 'mediation' going........... :)

  • Morning MwC, hope you 'got out of bed the right side' and are feeling more like your normal self today.

Can we persuade Miss LRH to act as facilitator and have the girls talking about meal worms?

I hope they all settle in well.

  • Good morning Greying & Tilly

    Still a bit grumpy!
Can we persuade Miss LRH to act as facilitator...

Miss LRH is one of the worst offenders Auntie Tilly!

Miss Clarissa is so docile that she crouches in submission and then, rather than leave her alone, they all jump on her and peck :(

Oh dear, do you need us to pop round and have a word with LRH? Miss Tilly does indeed have a very fine tail :rotfl:
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

Eggs OUT 2 (in the moussaka topping)

You're welcome round anytime GG! I had a chat with Miss LRH this evening - I'm not sure that she listened but she did wipe her muddy feet on my white t-shirt!

Miss Clarissa, Miss Effie and Miss Tilly have "discovered" treats :D Previously they have run in the opposite direction when I have thrown a handful of mixed corn/seed/mealworms and the others have hoovered them up later.

Mr MWC made moussaka for dinner (using leftover slow-roast shoulder of lamb, shredded, instead of minced lamb and 2 aubergines grown by FIL) :T

I was less grumpy today after all :)

  • Miss Matilda/Tilly - named after the CW Stoneking song The Love Me Or Die, oh and some woman on MSE ;)

OH, I MISSED THIS POST - is she really Miss Matilda Tilly?

Miss Clarissa - because the urban dictionary definitions of clarissa make me smile

    MissClarissa_zpsb2cd08b8.jpg

Miss Euphemia/Effie - named after Mr MWC's great grandmother. Apparently, in Scotland Effie was used as an anglicisation of the Gaelic name Oighrig meaning "speckled one"

Introductions are going OK-ish. It started with the newbies giving as good as they got and the old girls sulking at the bottom of the garden but then Miss LRH decided this was her opportunity to climb up the pecking order and she has been horrible to them :(

I wondered what GG was on about re Miss Tilly's tail :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I will be reading all your posts to catch up - she looks particularly white - how long will that last or do I need to schedule trips to bath her? :j:j

I'm off to fetch Mr T from the station now so need to run - Tilly x x x

She's already starting to look a bit grubby :) good luck trying to catch her though - White Star's are known for being flighty and she is no exception!

Hope that continues into today and you have a super day all round MWC.

So glad Miss C, Miss E and Miss T have discovered 'treats' :D Hope it allows that gals to 'bond' and they just plain old all start getting along - a gaggle of gal pals in next to no time....... here's hoping :)
