Thanks Lois & Tilly
I'm sure job satisfaction is over-rated - I'll just think of the money instead!

Pasta surprise for dinner - Mr MWC managed to use up some PSB, a tin of artichoke hearts, a tin of pinto beans, some frozen mozzarella, a bit of chorizo that has been lurking in the fridge for ages, and half a jar of roasted aubergine pesto. We really must go shopping soon!Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

Definitely think of the money! I've done that myself in particularly trying moments
But glad to hear you'll be updating linked in and so on. Can't harm, and it does seem true that maybe 40% of appointments are now found through that and its counterparts.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

According to him, local HR are in agreement but global HR aren't interested. The problem is that my current role (the one that far exceeds my job description ) doesn't map on to the company-wide career ladder...
Tonight, I shall be updating linked-in, updating my CV and job-huntingIt's so frustrating and disappointing, especially when you've been strung along for ages and have been doing so much extra work for them.
Best of luck with the job hunt, am sure the universe just has something better in store for you! :Ta penny picker upper. There are a lot of MFWers jobhunting at the moment MWC, I think this must be the spring of our discontent :rotfl:
Best of luck re. promotion, but I'm sure you'll find something better if global HR aren't willing to play ball.
As an aside, the concept of 'global HR' (responsible for people managing the entire planet), is a terrifying one. I imagine it would make a movie just as dull as 'The Matrix' and Keanu Reeves is possibly the *only* actor wooden enough to play a HR Professional :rotfl:
In fact, I may find a script of The Matrix and replace 'The Matrix' with 'HR' using a global edit0
