I'm sorry not to have been visiting your diary for ages MWC - HR really are a questionable function in many organisations (for those HR professionals reading however, this doesn't apply to you obs
) and you deserve to be recognised for your worth.
Kate Bush will be amazing - I'll put in a special request to the universe for your tickets. My treat:D
Finally, and most importantly, Mothering Sunday can be a really painful day so I'm sending you the largest and most heartfelt hug all the way from Scotland :grouphug:

Thanks for the dodgy hug.
It's not my most favouritest of days - both my mum and MIL died of cancer too early and our attempts to have children were unsuccessful:(:(

sounds like you should spend the day in the garden - mother's day is just hyped up by shops and restuarants now. Have another dodgy Scottish hug from me and go squeeze a chicken. x

Definitely agree on the hype - and how painful it is for people whose mothers have gone, several friends from here who're now on f/b have been posting about it
Take care, MWC.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

PS. Glad to hear your gardening-in-the-dark skills are top notcha penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library0 -
Have a dodgy English hug to go with all the Scottish ones. :grouphug:
Sometimes you just have to put your fingers in your ears and go "la la la" until the special day is over. Mother's day isn't so bad for me - I miss my own mum but I have my kids - but Valentine's day is a "la la la can't hear you" day for me.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Hi, I feel the same on Father's Day. Miss him all the time but I talk to him frequently.
Take it easy MWC and enjoy your garden.
I'm guessing Miss LRH and the girls are out and about? Not by your beds though
