Making chicken feed of my mortgage

  • I joined the WI in September and love it. I think things vary from group to group. Mine is about 50 strong and has a very wide age group - 20's to 60's (I'm 40's). A lot depends on the Group's Committee too. My advice would be go along and give it a try and if that group doesn't suit you there may be another you can attend.

Guess what arrived yesterday MWC:D Although, I will have to now cut back in other areas to negate the damage.

Thank you, and I'll repay the favour in some way!!!

I also received a rather nice diary from t*n*s which was a bit of a surprise, as I am no longer a RM survey 'employee'.

The tablet is lush (as ever!):T

  • I've had enough of sitting on my backside and I'm actually looking forward to going back to work on Monday

    Plan of action for today:

    - go for a walk after it's stopped raining - will probably be doing this in the dark!
    - clean bathroom
    - dust/hoover throughout
    - scrub kitchen floor
    - iron clothes for next week - it's going to be a struggle to get up at 06:00 and I don't want to have to iron something to wear as well!

Impressive list MWC. I've got 3 cooking projects and a !!!!py fish tank to take care of (literally).

    Have a lovely weekend :)
  • Thanks ed!

Just found out that my dad and his ladyfriend aren't coming for dinner tomorrow so today's list will now become a things-to-do-before-Monday list :rotfl:

Eggs IN 2 so far (Miss LRH is doing the deed as I type)
    Eggs OUT 1

The big egg news is that Miss M has laid me a lovely olive green egg (her first in absolutely ages) and I have enough eggs to sell next week :T

HM celeriac & blue cheese soup with HM parsnip & thyme bread for lunch

I shouldn't need to spend any money until Monday when we will need milk :)

    Yummy blue cheese soup.
  • I was about to phone a pest controller but finally Mr MWC has gone up into the loft to look for our "lodger"...

"lodger" still unidentified - but there's definitely something up there... no poo or signs of nibbling but it has been digging up the loft insulation...
