    Yes!

I'll be keeping him at arm's length until his birthday ;)

    13 jars whisky marmalade
    10 jars gooseberry conserve
    16 jars hedgerow jelly
    8 jars spiced apple jelly

Slow-cooked pork in beer with haricot beans & greens for dinner

Mr MWC has (finally) opened a S&S ISA (Invesco Perp Income) this evening to use his full ISA allowance :)

I'm going to try freezing some eggs now while I've got some spare then hopefully I won't have to buy any in December

Left over pork/beans/greens for dinner with wholemeal pasta today.

Off to make some more crab apple jelly...

I lied about the crab apples... no jelly-making tonight but I will need to cook another batch of apples ready for tomorrow night :(

It's turning into a bit of a chore but now that they've been picked it would be wrong to throw them away - note to self: give father clearer instructions wrt quantities next year :rotfl:

Next on the list is herb jelly

I'm looking forward to a lie-in tomorrow morning as I don't need to leave home until 10:00 :j

The cheque from the sale of Mr MWC's shares (£2,847.13) has finally arrived from the USA :T Not sure what to do with it though... apart from pay it in before I lose it :rotfl:

Mr MWC collected 1/2 lamb from a local farm - whole shoulder, whole leg, 17 lamb chops, 6 burgers and a bag of bones for stock - £67.50 :T

7 small square jars of herb jelly made - another batch to be made but I'll need to buy some more cider vinegar first

I've also cooked the apples to make crab apple butter tomorrow evening :)

    Dinner was leftover pork/beans/greens again!

So impressed by your preserving activities. Almost inspiring and would be tempted but I dont eat sugar so I just enjoy reading about it and imagining lots of pretty jars:)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
  • food all sounds great - very tempted. How long will the butter store for, do you know?
