I can assure you, my house is a wreck - bare plaster board, peeling wallpaper, not one room is finished.

    I don't entertain much ;)

Oo a blank canvas Natty, how lovely :D

The whole house will be done once the spare bedroom is furnished... which means I can start again at the beginning

Mr MWC is less keen on this idea :rotfl:

Of course you can Natty but only if you bring real pimms!

  • Thanks for the photos mwc I love nosing at houses/d!cor!!
GG ours is more on the magnolia side combined with nattys half-finished-bare-plasterboard-ready-for-DIY look!! ;)

I think if I could have another career (maybe when Im MF) I would be an interior decorator.... my day would involve leafing through thousands of Ideal Home type magazines, possibly in the garden, perhaps with a fake pimms .... :rotfl:

I could happily have a career in leafing through housie magazines, drinking pimms :D

I flicked through a housie magazine earlier on today, and no one gave me any money:(

Hopefully you'll have more success (although maybe it was because I wasn't drinking fake pimms at the time?!)

  • I've had a bit of a spendy day today :)

    - a fly zapper

    - silver paint, velvet chenille upholstery fabric in a silver grey leaf pattern and foam for my old ottoman refurb project

    - a lampshade for the spare bedroom

    - a birdcage design wall sticker for the landing

    - a wardrobe (26% off RRP + I remembered to go through TCB for 6.3% cashback)

Resisted buying a bed for the spare room (makes sense to have carpets fitted first)
Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
    Mortgage-free: January 2021

  • Yesterday's egg update:

Eggs IN 3 :eek::eek: 3 eggs from 9 chickens is rubbish!
Eggs OUT 4 (huevos rancheros for dinner)
Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
    Mortgage-free: January 2021

  • Sounds a lovely spendy day though MWC I love buying house stuff! ;)

Natty - I tried the same last night and no money in my bank yet!- maybe payroll haven't got round to it yet, I shall try again tonight :rotfl:

Ps I have a feeling there was a free home magazine somewhere on the freebies board then at least combined with fake pimms very little outlay for the start of such a business! ;)
  • Here's the next room Natty & TYO :D

    Bedroom 3/Mr MWC's office

Now it's clean & tidy I don't really want to put Mr MWC's sh!te back in :rotfl:
