Making chicken feed of my mortgage

What a surprise - NOT - my #1000 post was all about chickens and not :money:

Miss Beryl is a very confident and naughty chicken. She frequently jumps a 4' fence into my part of the garden. She has a routine: 1. scratch behind the gooseberry bush (fine); 2. mooch around the lawn (fine); 3. dig in the gravel (fine as long as she's flicking gravel back towards the house and not on to the lawn); 4. trash the flower beds (not fine). She now refuses to let me pick her up and I have to bribe her back to the chicken garden with mealworms. She still lays small cream eggs but makes such a fuss about doing so that you would think she is laying an egg the size of an ostrich's :rotfl:
Miss Gladys is bottom of the pecking order (and still occasionally gets a peck from Miss B and/or Miss H) She is not as confident as the other 2 newbies but seems happy. She still lays small green eggs, quite often after lights out and I find them in the run the next morning.
Miss LRH is a darling and she still likes cuddlesShe is also a very greedy chicken and jumps up at the treat bucket before I get a chance to throw them a couple of handfuls. She now lays "proper" size brown eggs.
I'll try to get some photos later.

Cool and calm, like her aunties :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

So pleased it's not just my chooks that do this. They love announcing to the world that they've laid an egg and see to cluck/crow forever! :rotfl::jMortgage free 08.08.19 :j

What a beautiful morning
Today's plan:
- 5 mile walk (our second from the box of 30 walks)
- trip to Sainsburys to buy the dozen or so items we couldn't get/forgot to buy in Morrisons yesterday and to the poultry centre for more chicken feed
- post DVD back to lovefilm (watched another brilliant French film last night - Untouchable)
- housework
- laundry
- cook dinner for The Dads (and my dad's ladyfriend)

Morning MWC
I watched that a few weeks ago. I didn't know it was subtitled when I ordered it but I thoroughly enjoyed it - glad it wasn't just me! :T
